The German standard pronunciation does not represent a homogeneous structure. In the research of Halle linguistics, these aspects were often made the subject of research. Further research is currently being carried out in this field of standard phonetics. In the subject of German as a foreign language, especially in German studies abroad, the phonostylistic diversity of the standard pronunciation compared to English is rarely discussed. Both theoretical and methodological foundations appeared in a few publications. In this paper, phonetic reductionisms are therefore initially outlined from a normphonetic point of view. Then some phonostilistic questions are taken up and their relevance for the development of receptive language competence is examined. At the end, selected sound phenomena are prepared and exemplified by phonodidactics.

The vocal side of language has aroused the interest of scientists and researchers since antiquity. This direc¬tion in linguistic research is still relevant today, as evidenced by numerous treatises and experiments. In the present contribution, the authors tried to generalize and to analyze the most important means of pho¬nostilistics and their realization in different types of rhyming discourse, such as nursery rhymes, children’s poems, puzzles, lyrical poems etc. It has been proved very clearly that alliteration, assonance, phonetic imitation, phonetic symbolism as well as linguistic design are characterized by the aesthetic function as well. They create a special atmosphere in a finished work and thus achieve a certain emotional influence not only on the listener but also on the reader. This realizes the existence of the finest thread between the author and the auditorium, for which his rhyming work is forseen.

Standard German pronunciation, despite numerous attempts of its codifying, is still heterogeneous. Its actualization constitutes two mezolektal variants, similar either to the exogenic standard of the pronunciation or to regiolets. On the map presenting variants of the endogenous standard pronunciation a special place is taken by the northern German variants. Due to the exchange of language systems in that area, the exogenic standard pronunciation was acquired like a foreign language. Owing to that fact, the standard pronunciation variants are most similar to the codified standard. It does not mean that they are free from the Low German influences. In the present article the gathered sound corpus has been analyzed and the types of exceptions to the exogenic standard have been distinguished, that is, the phonolistic variants of pronunciation, which result from far-reaching coarticualtory processes as well as the variants resulting from an influence of a base dialect. The research findings were compared with the state of research conducted by Eve Sophie Dahl, thirty years earlier.

Jej aktualizacja to warianty mezolektalne, zbliżone bądź do egzogenicznej normy wymowy, bądź do regioletów.
