The authors of this paper assess declared levels of satisfaction with life depending on the hierarchy of preferred values in mothers of children suffering from Duchenne’a muscular dystrophy. The comparative analysis of research conducted among mothers of children with Duchenne’a muscular dystrophy and the concepts outlined in specialist literature, which include models showing the factors of coping with life's critical situations, constitute crucial elements.
