Nauczanie i uczenie się programowania to trudny proces, a wskaźniki niepowodzeń edukacyjnych na kursach z podstaw programowania są wysokie. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki sondażu przeprowadzonego wśród studentów I roku informatyki, którego celem było poznanie opinii respondentów na temat czynników wpływających na te niepowodzenia. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że decydujące znaczenie ma motywacja studentów oraz trudności związane z nabywaniem umiejętności programistycznych.

Teaching and learning fundamental programming is a difficult process and the failures rates of students on these subjects are high. The article describes the results of a survey conducted among CS1 students in order to get to know their opinion on the factors that affect these failures. In the respondents' opinion, the motivation of students and difficulties related to the acquisition of programming skills are decisive ones.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję realizacji oraz spostrzeżenia związane z przeprowadzeniem eksperymentalnego kursu z przedmiotu podstawy programowania, w którym zastosowano mechanizm grywalizacji. Kurs przeznaczony był dla studentów kierunku informatyka. Opracowano go z wykorzystaniem narzędzi dostępnych na platformie Moodle.

The article presents the concept of implementation and the final observations related to the experimental gamified course for the subject Introduction to programming, that was designed for the computer science students. The course was developed using the tools available on the Moodle platform.

The author of the text tries to introduce the reader to the factors related to the creation of a new core curriculum statement from February 14, 2017. It brings the reader closer to macroeconomic data concerning the labor market from the country and the world. Then it presents educational trends in other countries that focus on computational thinking. Subsequently, the analysis of the new core curriculum statement in the context of computational thinking is presented. The summing-up element is the reference to the most common practices and activities in Poland and in the world proclaimed for education in the field of computational thinking.

Autor tekstu stara się przybliżyć czytelnikowi czynniki związane z powstawaniem nowej podstawy programowej z 14 lutego 2017. W tym celu przybliża czytelnikowi dane makroekonomiczne dotyczące rynku pracy z kraju i ze świata. Następnie prezentuje tendencje edukacyjne w innych krajach, które ukierunkowane są na myślenie komputacyjne. W dalszej części artykułu zaprezentowana została analiza podstawy programowej w kontekście myślenia komputacyjnego. Elementem podsumowującym jest przywołanie najbardziej powszechnych praktyk i działań w Polsce i na świecie proklamowanych na rzecz edukacji w zakresie kształcenia myślenia komputacyjnego.
