Pogrzeb symboliczny po donacji zwłokna cele naukowe - aspekty prawnokanoniczne

The inspiration of the paper was the question about the possibility of Catholic funeral for a strand of hair of the person who donated his/her body to science. The author after presenting and examining methodically regulations of polish law and bioethical rules for donation of body, and after analyzing the teaching of the Apostolic See in the matter in question is of the opinion that the permission for the symbolic funeral of parts of hu- man body should not be granted. The person who donated his/hers body for science and education should make a request for a catholic funeral after the usage of the body. The medical institution should respect such a request.

Inspiracją dla artykułu stało się pytanie o możliwość urządzenia katolickiego pogrzebu kosmyka włosów osoby, która przekazała swoje ciało na potrzeby nauki. Autor po przedsta- wieniu przepisów prawa polskiego oraz wskazań bioetycznych dotyczących donacji ciała i po analizie przepisów prawa polskiego i wskazań Stolicy Apostolskiej dotyczących zasad postępowania ze szczątkami ludzkimi, opowiada się przeciwko urządzaniu symbolicznych pogrzebów ludzkich szczątków. Osoba przekazująca swoje ciało do celów badawczych i dy- daktycznych powinna zastrzec sobie sprawienie katolickiego pogrzebu po wykorzystaniu zwłok, a instytucja medyczna powinna taki pogrzeb zapewnić.
