The Republic of Peru has been in a political crisis since 2018. This crisis manifestsitself in three domains: institutional, political leadership and political culture. Peru is an unstable country, where periods of relative political stability are interrupted by authoritarian tendencies or dysfunctions of democratic system. In the following article I analyze the dysfunctional traits of Peruvian political system, in particular the parliamentarization of the country's presidential system of government.

Od 2018 r. republika Peru znajduje się w stanie kryzysu politycznego. Kryzys ten przejawia się w trzech wymiarach: instytucjonalnym, przywództwa politycznego i kultury politycznej. Peru jest krajem niestabilnym, w którym okresy względnego spokoju politycznego przerywane są tendencjami autorytarnymi lub dysfunkcjami systemu demokratycznego. W niniej-szym artykule analizuję dysfunkcjonalne cechy peruwiańskiego systemu politycznego, ze szcze-gólnym uwzględnieniem parlamentaryzacji prezydenckiego systemu rządów w tym kraju.
