The aim of this article is to show the dualism of studying in the frames of an institution situated in neoliberal culture influenced by commercialized ways of thinking, which demands staying in the opposition with the idea of schole. This text is an autoethnographical reflection of a pedagogy student, who sets herself in noninstrumental ways of thinking about education presented amongst others by Gert Biesta, Jan Masschelein, Tyson Lewis and Piotr Zamojski. This article is also an attempt to get back voice which was lost under the regime of directives, norms and guidelines in the era of academic capitalism. Besides, it is also an attempt to take the responsibility of studying into one’s own hands and to experience educational freedom.

Celem tego artykułu jest ukazanie dwoistości studiowania odbywającego się w ramach instytucji osadzonej w kulturze neoliberalnej i ulegającej komercjalizacji, której wymogi nierzadko pozostają w sprzeczności z ideą studiowania jako schole. Tekst ten jest refleksją autoetnograficzną studentki pedagogiki, która umiejscawia się w nieinstrumentalnym nurcie myślenia o edukacji podejmowanym m.in. przez Gerta Biestę, Jana Masscheleina, Tysona Lewisa czy Piotra Zamojskiego. Artykuł ten jest także próbą odzyskania głosu zagubionego pod reżimem odgórnych rozporządzeń, dyrektyw i znormalizowanych wymogów w dobie akademickiego kapitalizmu. Jest on również staraniem doświadczania wolności edukacyjnej i brania odpowiedzialności za własny proces studiowania.

Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na specyfikę tożsamości Lizbony – międzykulturowego miasta, zaangażowanego z jednej strony w międzykulturowy dialog mający integrować społeczności lokalne, a z drugiej – w procesy komercyjnego wykorzystywania owego dialogu, prowadzące do rewitalizacji i gentryfikacji miejskich przestrzeni. Kontekstem dla zaprezentowania wymienionych wyżej problemów są: historyczne aspekty lizbońskiej międzykulturowości, idea miast międzykulturowych, dialog międzykulturowy oraz neoliberalna polityka miasta.

The aim of the article is to draw attention to the specificity of Lisbon’s identity – the identity of an intercultural city, engaged on the one hand in intercultural dialogue that integrates local communities, and on the other – in the process of a commercial use of this dialogue leading to the revitalization and gentrification of urban spaces. The context for presenting the above-mentioned problems involves: the historical background of Lisbon’s interculturalism, the idea of intercultural cities, intercultural dialogue, models of diversity and the city’s neoliberal policy.
