A memoir about Professor Irena Sławińska (1913-2004), a scholar of drama and theater affiliated with the Catholic University of Lublin for several decades. The author presents Sławińska's curriculum vitae and briefly outlines the academic and artistic experiences that shaped her in Vilnius (until 1945), Toruń (1945–1949), Warsaw (1949–1950), and Lublin (1950–2004). She also comments on Sławińska's translating and artistic activities. She describes a profile of the school of theater studies created by the scholar in Lublin and enumerates her students who developed the currents of research she initiated or carried out artistic and publishing activities.
