Polsko-żydowskie pogranicze językowe powstało w wyniku zetknięcia się ograniczonej terytorialnie jednojęzycznej kultury polskiej z wielojęzyczną i aterytorialną kulturą żydowską. W wyniku tego zetknięcia doszło do szeregu interferencji językowych, a także do ukształtowania się socjolektu mieszanego (polszczyzny Żydów) i języka mieszanego (jidysz – zgodnie z teorią slawocentryczną). Artykuł poświęcony jest omówieniu stanu polskich rozważań nad wzajemnymi wpływami polsko- -żydowskimi w dziedzinie językowej i ogólnemu zarysowaniu perspektyw badawczych, zwłaszcza w obrębie socjolingwistyki historycznej i dialektologii kontrastywnej.

The Polish-Jewish language borderland was created as a result of the meeting of the territorially limited monolingual Polish culture with the multilingual and aterritorial Jewish culture. As a result of this encounter, a number of linguistic interferences and a mixed sociolect (Jewish Polish) and mixed language (Yiddish – according to the Slavocentric theory) emerged. This article discusses the state of Polish reflections on the mutual Polish-Jewish influences in the linguistic field and outlines general research perspectives, especially in the context of historical sociolinguistics and contrastive dialectology.

Fleksyjne wykładniki stylizacji na polszczyznę Żydów w przedwojennym szmoncesie kabaretowym

Artykuł jest poświęcony stylizacji językowej w przedwojennych szmoncesach kabaretowych. Przyjmując perspektywę lingwistyczną, autorka analizuje zjawiska fleksyjne, które stały się językową kanwą szmoncesów: błędy związane niedostateczną znajomością polszczyzny oraz interferencje wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne (z językiem jidysz). W tekstach kabaretowych zabiegi te pełnią funkcję identyfikacyjną (wskazują na żydowskiego bohatera utworu) i gatunkotwórczą, służą także wywołaniu efektu komicznego. Analiza środków wykorzystanych przez autorów szmoncesów jest rozszerzeniem i uzupełnieniem badań nad polszczyzną Żydów w tekstach literackich i ludowych, które w latach 80. XX w. prowadziła Maria Brzezina.

The article is devoted to language stylization in pre-war cabaret szmonces. Accepting the linguistic perspective, the author analyzes inflectional phenomena, which became the linguistic canvas of szmonces: mistakes related to insufficient knowledge of Polish as well as internal and external interference (with the Yiddish language). In cabaret texts, these means have both the identifying function (they point out to a Jewish character) and the genre-making function, they also serve to create a comic effect. The analysis of measures used by the authors of szmonces is an extension and supplement to the study of the Polish language of Jews in literary texts that Maria Brzezina conducted in the 1980s.
