Struktura czynnikowa polskiej adaptacji Skali Komfortu i Zmagań Religijnych

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja podstaw teoretycznych oraz struktury wewnętrznej polskiej adaptacji Skali Pocieszenia i Napięcia Religijnego (Religious Comfort and Strain Scale - RCSS) autorstwa Yali, Exline, Wood i Worthington. Opierając się na wynikach eksploracyjnych analizy czynnikowej ustalono, że polska wersja RCSS ma strukturę czteroczynnikową: składa się z jednowymiarowej podskali Pocieszenie religijne oraz trzech podskal napięcia religijnego: (1) Negatywne emocje wobec Boga, (2) Lęk-Wina i (3) Negatywne interakcje społeczne związane z religią. Choć wskazane są dalsze prace adaptacyjne nad RCSS analiza własności psychometrycznych metody ujawniła, że może ona stanowić cenne narzędzie w badaniach nad funkcjonalnymi aspektami religijności.

The aim of this article is to present the theoretical background and internal structure of the Polish adaptation of the Religious Comfort and Strain Scale (RCSS) by Yali, Exline, Wood, and Worthington. Exploratory Factor Analysis showed that the Polish adaptation of RCSS has four factors: it consists of a one-dimensional Religious Comfort subscale and three subscales regarding religious strain: (1) Negative emotions toward God, (2) Fear-Guilt and (3) Negative social interactions surrounding religion. The scale's reliability and construct validity are satisfactory. Although further research is needed, it may be assumed that this tool can be used successfully in research on the functional aspects of religion.

Hutsebaut i współpracownicy (1996, 2000; Fontaine i in., 2003) skonstruowali Skalę Przekonań Postkrytycznych (PCBS) do pomiaru dwóch wymiarów: Włączenie vs Wykluczenie transcendencji oraz Interpretacja literalna vs symboliczna, za pomocą których Wulff (1991) opisał podejścia do religii. W prezentowanym artykule przedstawiono analizy struktury wewnętrznej polskiej adaptacji PCBS. Rezultaty uzyskane w 10 próbach (N = 1775) sugerują, że wewnętrzna struktura polskiej wersji częściowo odzwierciedla założoną strukturę teoretyczną PCBS. Ponadto w artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy głównych składowych oraz analizę rzetelności podskal PCBS w badanych grupach.

Hutsebaut and his colleagues (1996, 2000; Fontaine et al., 2003) constructed the Post-Critical Belief Scale (PCBS) in order to measure the two dimensions along which Wulff (1991) summarized the various possible approaches to religion: Exclusion vs. Inclusion of Transcendence and Literal vs. Symbolic Interpretation. In the present article, the internal structure of the Polish version of the scale is analyzed. The results obtained in ten Polish samples (N = 1775) suggest that the internal structure of the Polish version partially reflects the assumed theoretical structure of PCBS. Furthermore, the results of principal component analysis and reliability analysis are presented in the article.

Stefan Huber (2003) skonstruował Skalę Centralności Religijności (Centrality of Religiosity Scale) do pomiaru globalnej centralności oraz pięciu wymiarów religijności wyodrębnionych przez Ch. Glocka i Y. Starka (1965; Stark, Glock,1970): przekonań religijnych, modlitwy, doświadczenia religijnego, kultu i zainteresowań problematyką religijności. Prezentowany artykuł przedstawia polską wersję skali Hubera (C-15). Metoda została przetłumaczona zwrotnie, zgodnie z procedurą translacji. Wstępne wskaźniki trafności i rzetelności skali ustalono w badaniach 402 osób. Otrzymane wyniki potwierdziły wysoką moc dyskryminacyjną pozycji skali oraz wysoką homogeniczność i stabilność podskal. Globalna miara centralności także uzyskała wysokie wskaźniki psychometryczne. Trafność teoretyczną ustalono za pomocą analizy czynnikowej oraz współczynnika zgodności wewnętrznej. Uzyskane rezultaty potwierdziły zgodność polskiej wersji metody z oryginalną wersją niemiecką oraz adekwatność do zakładanego modelu teoretycznego. Trafność kryterialna została ustalona za pomocą korelacji z innymi metodami do badania religijności: Skalą Intensywności i Centralności Postawy Religijnej W. Prężyny, Skalą Kryzysu Religijnego W. Prężyny, Skalą Relacji do Boga D. Hutsebauta oraz Skalą Przekonań Postkrytycznych D. Hutsebauta. Uzyskane wskaźniki psychometryczne potwierdziły wysoką trafność i rzetelność prezentowanego narzędzia.

Stefan Huber (2003) developed the Centrality of Religiosity Scale to measure both the global centrality and five dimensions of religiosity as identified by Ch. Glock and Y. Stark (1965, Stark, Glock, 1970): religious beliefs, prayer, religious experience, rite and interests in religious issues. This article presents the Polish version of Huber’s scale (C-15). The scale was translated and back-translated according to standard requirements. Preliminary indicators of validity and reliability were calculated on the basis of the results obtained from 402 subjects. The results confirmed high discriminative power of the items as well as high homogeneity and stability of the subscales. The global index of centrality was also found to have high psychometric properties. Theoretical validity of the scale was established by means of factor analysis and internal consistency coefficient. The findings confirmed the equivalence of the Polish version of the instrument to the original German version and adequacy to the pre-assumed theoretical model. The convergent and divergent validity was established by means of correlations with other instruments measuring religiosity, i.e. Intensity and Centrality of the Religious Attitude (W. Prężyna), Religious Crisis Scale (W. Prężyna), Relationship to God Scale (D. Hutsebaut), and Postcritical Beliefs Scale (D. Hutsebaut). The obtained psychometric indexes confirmed high validity and reliability of the presented instrument.
