The aim of this article is to present the theory of heritage interpretation, formulated by the American researcher Freeman Tilden, as an innovative method of explaining the past in an accessible way, and thus of its popularisation. The recipient will not experience an emotional connection with the presented information if they are merely told that the information is valuable. They will want to preserve it only if they understand and appreciate it. This may be achieved if the significance of an object is explained in an accessible way. The rules of interpretation prove useful in this case. Six of them, considered fundamental to the theory, will be presented along with the suggestions regarding their use in the context of the history of the area which now constitutes for the Słupsk county. It is an effort to achieve the long-awaited by F. Tilden dependence in Central Pomerania – through interpretation to understanding, through understanding to appreciation, through appreciation to preservation.

Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie sformułowanej przez amerykańskiego badacza Freemana Tildena teorii interpretacji dziedzictwa jako innowacyjnej metody wyjaśniania przeszłości w sposób przystępny dla obiorcy, a co za tym idzie – jej popularyzacji. Odbiorca nie poczuje więzi emocjonalnej z prezentowanymi treściami, kiedy wysłucha jedynie na temat ich dużej wartości. Będzie chciał je chronić dla następnych pokoleń dopiero wtedy, kiedy je zrozumie i doceni. Stanie się, gdy znaczenie obiektu zostanie mu w przystępny sposób wytłumaczone. Pomocne w tym celu będzie wykorzystanie zasad interpretacji – sześć z nich, uznanych za fundamentalne dla teorii, zaprezentowano wraz z propozycjami ich wykorzystania w odniesieniu do dziejów ziem dzisiejszego powiatu słupskiego. Tak aby na Pomorzu Środkowym, w stosunku do dziedzictwa tego terenu osiągnięto wyczekiwaną przez F. Tildena zależność – poprzez interpretację do zrozumienia, poprzez zrozumienie do docenienia, poprzez docenienie do ochrony.

Contemporary economy is based on advanced strategies of close cooperation between different businesses. It is now a sphere requiring wide-range attention at the local level in Poland. The study presents an analysis of the forms and effects of the cooperation between the local government and business at the local level. Local councils of Słupsk county and Słupsk commune are presented as examples. A private entity Charlotta Valley is a representative of tourist branch located within these units. This paper appoints activities of these units at strategic and operational levels aiming at reinforcement of collaboration between the partners. As the research indicates as well as similar studies conducted in other regions, the cooperation between local councils and business is not effective enough (particularly referring to tourist business). Each partner carries out activities aiming at cooperation but no one is really satisfied with them. So, why this collaboration is not entirely possible despite obvious needs and possibilities. The research indicates that the main reason is the lack of communication abilities. An additional mediator is necessary for communication among various spheres of activities. Concluding, NGOs or business would act as such a mediator. However, the awareness of Polish entrepreneurs as well as local councillors is probably not ready yet to accept this kind of solution. The apparent setbacks in communication may result in diminishing the chance for development. What is more, the financial sphere remains the biggest barrier in this context. Each party understands the need for cooperation not a competition at the local level. Yet, financing issues at the operational level prove to be impossible to solve.

Współcześnie w gospodarce rynkowej w Polsce podmioty wszystkich sektorów gospodarczych w sposób niemal doskonały organizują swoją strategię rozwojową. Jednak z punktu widzenia rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego terytorialnych systemów, konieczna jest współpraca międzysektorowa. W artykule zaprezentowano przykłady lokalnej działalności współpracy pomiędzy samorządem lokalnym a biznesem z branży turystycznej. Wskazano na kluczowe bariery braku efektywnej komunikacji w tym zakresie. Badania oparte zostały na studium przypadku współpracy samorządów lokalnych powiatu słupskiego i gminy Słupsk oraz podmiotu gospodarczego Doliny Charlotty.

The article is devoted to the audio-visual collections created in the years 1957–1975 which reflect the life and activities of the native populace of Koszalin voivodeship. The collections, stored in the tape archives of the Polish Radio Broadcast Centre in Koszalin, constitute for interesting research material, although not free of propaganda. Koszalin voivodeship was, until the second half of the 1970s, within the range of the Polish Radio Broadcast Centre in Koszalin, thus the recording of the audio material, as well as processing and broadcasting were all conducted within a single administrative unit and territorial property of the broadcast centre, as it was in the case of the other 16 broadcast centres of the Polish Radio. The paper emphasises on the role of the Polish Radio in creating the regional identity of the eastern part of West Pomerania, as well as the relations of this region with the rest of the Polish territories. The article provides an overview of the contents of the magnetic tapes along with technical data and the persons responsible for the production and processing of the audio material.

Artykuł poświęcono zbiorom audiowizualnym, które odzwierciedlają życie i działalność ludności rodzimej województwa koszalińskiego, a które powstały w latach 1957–1975. Zbiory te, przechowywane w taśmotece Rozgłośni Polskiego Radia w Koszalinie, stanowią interesujący materiał badawczy, niepozbawiony jednakże akcentów propagandowych. Województwo koszalińskie do połowy lat siedemdziesiątych XX wieku objęte było zasięgiem Rozgłośni Polskiego Radia w Koszalinie, toteż rejestracja materiału dźwiękowego, jego obróbka (montaż) i emisja odbywała się w ramach jednej jednostki administracyjnej i właściwości terytorialnej rozgłośni, na wzór pozostałych 16 rozgłośni Polskiego Radia. Zaakcentowano rolę Polskiego Radia w kształtowaniu tożsamości regionalnej wschodniej części Pomorza Zachodniego, jak i powiązania tego obszaru z pozostałymi ziemiami polskimi. W artykule dokonano przeglądu zawartości taśm magnetycznych wraz z danymi technicznymi oraz osobami odpowiedzialnymi za produkcję materiału dźwiękowego oraz jego montaż.
