Question that will be solved in this paper, will be the utilization of hypertext educational material as a source, using which the effectiveness of education the technical subjects at the 2. level of primary school can be increased. As a comparison between reached results in the control and experimental groups of pupils we will use the final didactical examination, which will be evaluated using statistical methods. Via pedagogical experiment we will verify our hypotheses.

Głównym tematem niniejszej pracy jest wykorzystanie hipertekstualnych materiałów edukacyjnych, które przyczyniają się do zwiększenia skuteczności nauczania przedmiotów technicznych w szkołach podstawowych drugiego stopnia. Do porównania wyników osiągniętych przez grupę kontrolną i wyników grupy eksperymentalnej wykorzystana została metoda eksperymentu pedagogicznego, który zostanie przeprowadzony za pomocą narzędzi statystycznych. Eksperyment pedagogiczny podda naszą hipotezę weryfikacji.

In this article it is discussed the shape of the dissertation in higher education. The authors try to answer the question about the differences between the BA thesis and MA thesis. The criteria of the analysis are as follows: • Theses place during the higher education, • The types and functions of the thesis, • Assessment of thesis. An important point of discussion is the distinction of meaning between the scientific work and the work of a scientific nature. In the summary of the article it is proposed method of differentiating the BA thesis and MA thesis.

The article presents the influence of the Lodz University Library on the professional and scientific work of Professor Hanna Tadeusiewicz. Her activities as the editor of The Dictionary of Polish Book Labourers were presented. The levels of professional advancement and the main directions of the scientific research as well as the didactic activity of the Professor were highlighted. Selected conferences and vernissages as well as other meetings attended by the Professor when she was no longer employed at the Lodz University Library, were recalled.

Zaprezentowano jej działania jako redaktora Słownika pracowników książki polskiej. Naświetlono szczeble awansu zawodowego, główne kierunki badań naukowych oraz działalność dydaktyczną Pani Profesor. Przywołano wybrane konferencje i wernisaże oraz inne spotkania, w których uczestniczyła Pani Profesor, kiedy nie była już zatrudniona w łódzkiej książnicy.

Scientists’ professional work is a style of using the freedom of receiving and transmitting the word because of striving after the truth typical of the ‘scientific perspective of the world’. The use of such freedom is revealed by the researcher’s definition of himself: he is the one who has the duty of joining criticism with conceptualism; objectivity with rationalism; ‘disobedience in thinking’ with being careful about ‘sovereignty of the thought’; taking care of the functioning of a lot of ‘research programs’ that compete with each other with care of polyphony in scientific discussions. The characteristic of the style of research work is combined with the characteristic of the scientist as an actor playing social roles in the professional circle. The scientist uses the freedom that he needs as a professional-specialist doing his work within the frames of a special kind of institution. Taking into consideration the existence of ‘the Great Science’ and ‘a mass man in science’, we are dealing here with conformation of the scientist as one who wants to use this kind of freedom. We are talking here about the difficulty of exacting respect for the norms of the ethos of science from scientists. This is connected with constant conflicts in the circle of scientists that originate from different ways of understanding and treating those norms. Ecological realities of the scientific work only to some extent favor practicing the profession of the scientist in the proper way. In many respects those realities seriously hinder the proper use of the freedom to receive and transmit the word because of the truth of the scientific type. The realities of the order of scientific search and consideration; the realities of the scientists’ circle; the realities of the world surrounding the scientists’ circle along with its institutions are all significant here. Hence it is important, in our present time, to be faithful to the fundamental dictates to think and to act, which concerns those who make the search for the scientific truth their profession and their vocation.

In this article we define the notion of craft, and briefly describe its historical development. Attention is also devoted to secondary vocational education, emphasizing the need for the labour market and the needs of society. Subsequently we present a research project which aim is to design, develop and validate a multimedia teaching aid (the video film), through which we expect students achieve higher performance in cognitive areas, higher motivation for learning, higher interest in professional focus and improve the learning process in selected areas of the blacksmith and timber orientation.

W artykule przedstawiamy pojęcie rzemiosła i jego historię. Poświęcamy także uwagę średniemu szkolnictwu zawodowemu, skupiając się głównie na potrzebach rynku pracy i społeczeństwa. Prezentujemy projekt naukowy, którego celem jest opracowanie i wprowadzenie do użytku multimedialnych pomocy naukowych (film video), które mają docelowo wpłynąć na osiąganie przez uczniów lepszych wyników w nauce przedmiotów kognitywnych, zwiększyć motywację do nauki oraz zainteresowanie rozwojem zawodowym, a także udoskonalić proces edukacji w wybranych dziedzinach, takich jak kowalstwo i drzewoznawstwo.
