The proposed research is focused on and maps the various methods of communication of students who study master teaching courses at Faculty of Education (or existing elementary and secondary teachers) in the pedagogical practice. The experience with the project will lead to improve the preparation of future teachers (student) and improve approach of the preparing teachers. Present educational system imposes high requirements on teachers of all levels. Personality development is marginalized in teacher training, mainly the development of creative abilities and skills to solve conceptual matters and dynamic changes in the educational process. One of the ways of improvement the personality and professional development is to include the case study method. Case study method of didactic situations is a modern procedure of effective development of professional abilities in future teachers.

The article is dedicated to the issues of professional abilities of a teacher. The stances of Polish and Ukrainian scientists dedicated to the issue were presented. In the specialist literature the concept of professional abilities is considered as a defined, by the given field’s or specialty’s educational standards, readiness and usefulness of a teacher to realise educational tasks in the school activity. A teacher’s professional abilities are developed in the process of their professional activity, among the gradual gathering of experience, diligent carrying out of their duties, and constant development of their work-related abilities, awareness of meaning and the role of interpersonal skills. Correspondingly to the modern social requirements, a teacher should be an active person, with a perfect command of new technologies regarding pedagogics, focused in their work on creative activities and a constant improvement of their skills.

Artykuł poświęcono problematyce kompetencji zawodowych nauczyciela muzyki. Przedstawiono stanowiska polskich i ukraińskich naukowców zajmujących się tym zagadnieniem. W literaturze specjalistycznej pojęcie kompetencji zawodowych rozpatrywane jest jako określona standardami edukacyjno-zawodowymi danego obszaru lub specjalizacji fachowa gotowość i przydatność nauczyciela do realizacji zadań dydaktyczno-wychowawczych w działalności szkolnej. Kompetencje nauczyciela rozwijają się w procesie jego działalności zawodowej, przy stopniowym gromadzeniu doświadczenia zawodowego, sumiennym wykonywaniu swoich obowiązków, ciągłym rozwijaniu swojego warsztatu pracy, świadomości znaczenia i roli umiejętności interpersonalnych. Zgodnie ze współczesnymi wymogami społecznymi nauczyciel powinien być osobą aktywną, znakomicie posługującą się nowymi technologiami, skierowaną w swojej pracy na działania twórcze oraz na ciągłe doskonalenie własnych umiejętności.
