Zagadnienia związane z miejscem kobiet na rynku pracy są szeroko komentowane przez dziennikarzy czy ekonomistów oraz stanowią jeden z kluczowych elementów gry politycznej. Polityka prorodzinna powinna być nastawiona na godzenie ról społecznych rodziców, czyli rodzicielstwa i pracy zawodowej. Pierwszym po 1989 roku systemowym narzędziem wsparcia rodzin jest program Rodzina 500+. Traktuje on politykę rodzinną jako inwestycję na rzecz rodzin. Jest początkiem zmian w podejściu do polityki rodzinnej. Od momentu jego wprowadzenia w życie ekonomiści obawiali się, że może on w dużym stopniu wpłynąć na spadek aktywności zawodowej kobiet, która była wyraźnie niższa niż kobiet bezdzietnych i ojców. W artykule ukazano charakterystyczne wskaźniki aktywności ekonomicznej kobiet w Polsce i w województwie dolnośląskim w okresie przed i po wprowadzeniu świadczenia wychowawczego Rodzina 500+. W tym celu wykorzystano literaturę przedmiotu, dane statystyczne GUS, badania BAEL oraz informacje MRPiPS.

Issues related to the position of women in the labour market are widely commented on by both journalists and economists. The first systemic family support tool after 1989 is the “Family 500+” Program. Being the first and fundamental component of the government’s comprehensive family policy, it marks the beginning of a change in the approach to family policy. Since the implementation of the “Family 500+” Programme, economists have been concerned that it might have a considerable impact on the fall in women’s participation in the labour market, The purpose of the article is to present characteristic indicators of economic activity of women in Poland and in the Lower Silesia Voivodeship considering the period “before and after” the introduction of the “Family 500+” educational benefit, based on the literature of the subject, statistical data provided by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), BAEL research and information of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
