The intention of this study was to establish if the third grade English Language Learners improved reading fluency when using the computerized Waterford Early Reading Program. This quantitative study determined the effectiveness of the Waterford Early Reading Program at two Title I elementary schools. Students not meeting Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) in reading were enrolled into the computer emphasized reading program. An Analysis of Variance design determined if the students improved reading fluency as measured by the Victory 1000 Oral Reading Fluency test. The findings revealed a correlation between the students who used the Waterford Early Reading Program and reading achievement scores of the students enrolled in the traditional reading program.

The judge passes a sentence in the cannonic proces after gaining so called „moralis certitudo (moral certainty). One of the elements that the judge uses in gainig the moral certainty is the body of evidence collected in the cannonic proces, for instance testimony of witnesses. Witnesses are called on the grounds of calling decree which is issued by the leading judge. Interrogation of witnesses is based on a set of previously prepared questions. The aim is to gain proper information. A very important issue that influences the moral certainty of the judge are not only the answers of the witness but also the form of the answers. They can cotntribute a lot to the case. Modern psychology has instruments that can verify honesty and truthfulness of the testimony That is why the final assesment of all the evidence is the responsibility of the leading judge and all the body of judges which is responsible for the sentence. Difficulty in gaining the moral certainty can be that the judge gains the moral certainty but the deliberate missinforming by the witness can cause that the judge do not gain unbiased truth.

Sędzia wydaje wyrok w procesie kanonicznym po uzyskaniu przez siebie tzw. moralis certitudo (pewność moralna). Jednym z elementów służącym sędziemu w uzyskaniu pewności moralnej są zbierane w toku procesowym materiały dowodowe, wśród których są m.in. zeznania świadków. Świadkowie są powoływani na podstawie wydanego przez sędziego prowadzącego dekretu powołującego. Przesłuchanie świadków odbywa się na podstawie przygotowanych pytań w celu uzyskania odpowiednich informacji dotyczących sprawy. Istotnym zagadnieniem wpływającym na uzyskanie przez sędziego pewności moralnej są odpowiedzi świadka na poszczególne pytania jak i forma udzielania odpowiedzi na te pytania, które mogą wiele wnieść do sprawy. Współczesna psychologia dysponuje narzędziami pozwalającymi na pewną weryfikację prawdomówności i szczerości składanych przez świadków zeznań. Dlatego . Jednak ostateczna ocena całego materiału dowodowego należy do sędziego prowadzącego oraz całego kolegium sędziowskiego wydającego wyrok w tej sprawie. Trudność w dojściu do pewności moralnej przez sędziego może polegać na tym iż sędzia pewność moralną osiągnie, lecz poprzez świadome wprowadzenie w błąd przez świadka może spowodować, że sędzia nie dojdzie do poznania prawdy obiektywnej.
