This article aims to present the results of research on the attitude to smoking reflected in the folklore of modern smokers. Research material included data collected by the interview method in 2017-2019 in Bydgoszcz and nearby cities. Thematic scope of the results presented in this article has been narrowed down to smokers’ knowledge (currently or in the past) of small verbal forms (sayings, prohibitions, jokes) regarding cancer, superstitions, prophecies and electronic cigarettes. There were identified smokers’ defense strategies against cancer threats, including humor, perversity, idealization.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań nad stosunkiem do palenia tytoniu odzwierciedlonym w folklorze współczesnych palaczy. Materiał badawczy stanowiły dane zebrane metodą wywiadu w latach 2017-2019 w Bydgoszczy i okolicznych miastach. Zakres tematyczny wyników prezentowanych w niniejszym artykule zawężono do znajomości przez osoby palące (aktualnie lub w przeszłości) małych form słownych (powiedzenia, zakazy, dowcipy) odnoszących do choroby nowotworowej, przesądów, przepowiedni oraz papierosów elektronicznych. Wyodrębniono strategie obronne palaczy wobec zagrożeń chorobą nowotworową, m.in. humor, przekora, idealizacja.

The article aims at a legal-administrative analysis of the position of the city council. The thesis describes how a city councillor has been elected and obtained a mandate, as well as the cases in which the mandate is suspended or terminated. The article deals with the duties and powers of the councillor. It discusses prohibitions and restrictions imposed on a city council in the exercise of its functions.

Artykuł ma na celu prawno-administracyjną analizę pozycji radnego. W pracy przedstawiony został sposób wyboru oraz nabycia mandatu przez radnego, a także przypadki, w których mandat ulega zawieszeniu lub wygaśnięciu. W artykule dokonana została analiza obowiązków oraz uprawnień, które posiada radny. Omówione zostały zakazy i ograniczenia dotyczące radnego w związku z wykonywaną przez niego funkcją.

Teologia naturalna nie cieszyła się szczególnym poważaniem przez ostatnie 150 lat. Najnowsze ustalenia zarówno w dziedzinie nauki, jak i filozofii nauki zapewniają jednak pewne nowe możliwości i środki. W artykule analizuję pewne obszary i struktury, w ramach których objawić się może (w zasadzie) potencjał teologii naturalnej. Następnie argumentuję, że współczesna broń przeciwko próbom rzeczowego powiązania nauki i religii — naturalizm metodologiczny — nie tylko nie stanowi nienaruszalnej normy, nie wykluczając zatem możliwości uprawiania autentycznej teologii naturalnej, ale też może nieść niefortunne konsekwencje teologiczne.

Natural theology has not been held in particularly high regard during the past century and one half. However, recent developments both within science and within philosophy of science offer some new possibilities and resources. In what follows I explore some areas and structures within which natural theological potential might (in principle) emerge. I further argue that the current weapon of choice against substantive science/religion intertwining — methodological naturalism — not only fails as an inviolable norm, thus leaving the possibility of a genuine natural theology intact, but that it may even have unhappy theological consequences.
