The subject of the article is the use of language and linguistic aspects of social behavior within the protest discourses that took place after the results of the presidential elections in Belarus were falsified in August 2020. The author considers the concept of protest discourse, referring to scientific literature and comparing its interpretation by various researchers. The analysis of around 500 posters, chosen from the corpus of a first month of Belarusian numerous and various protesting activities, is focused on both rhetoric and language means of protesting communicative actions, namely on lexical nomination and code switching, wordplay and structural modifications, neologisms, paronomasia, irony, graphic operations and others, which, in the format of peaceful demonstrations (on behand of the demonstrators) actualizes the features of carnivalization and the acratic type of discourse.

Обзор гетерогенных нарративов современного протестного дискурса в Беларуси производится с применением методологии дискурсивного, прагматического и интерсемиотического анализа. Автор анализирует распознаваемые знаки белорусского сопротивления, описывает функционально-прагматический аспект использования визуального компонента в протестных текстах, указывает на контекстуальную обусловленность текстообразования. Операционализация протестной культуры и вырабатываемых форм коммуникации как комплексного явления подчеркивает тенденцию к семиотической комплексности в изучении дискурсивной деятельности (социального конструирования смыслов).

Heterogeniczne narracje współczesnego dyskursu protestu na Białorusi są analizowane za pomocą metodologii dyskursu, analizy pragmatycznej i intersemiotycznej. Autor analizuje rozpoznawalne znaki białoruskiego ruchu oporu, opisuje funkcjonalny i pragmatyczny aspekt wykorzystania komponentu wizualnego w tekstach protestu oraz wskazuje na kontekstowe uwarunkowania powstawania tekstu. Operacjonalizacja kultury protestu i wypracowanych form komunikacji jako zjawiska złożonego podkreśla tendencję do semiotycznej kompleksowości w badaniu działalności dyskursywnej (społecznym konstruowaniu znaczeń).

Heterogeneous narratives of modern protest discourse in Belarus are reviewed using the methodology of discourse, pragmatic and intersemiotic analysis. The author analyzes recognizable signs of the Belarusian resistance, describes the functional and pragmatic aspect of using the visual component in protest texts, and points out the contextual conditioning of text formation. The operationalization of the protest culture and the generated forms of communication as a complex phenomenon emphasizes the tendency towards semiotic complexity in the study of discursive activity (social construction of meanings).
