Warehouses serve important functions in the modern economy. At the beginning of the XXI century warehouse functionality has been expanded by an additional handling operations and organization. The paper rated the static warehousing potential in selected distribution enterprise. The use of surface and space magazine rated as low. Large surface area of warehouse was involved in order-picking. Rating indicator the work of the warehouse were high. Cost ratios were very varied, but the worst result achieved during the economic crisis in 2009.

Magazyny spełniają ważne funkcje we współczesnej gospodarce. Na początku XXI wieku zakres funkcji magazynu został poszerzony o dodatkowe czynności manipulacyjne i organizacyjne. W artykule oceniono potencjał statyczny magazynu wybranego przedsiębiorstwa dystrybucyjnego. Wykorzystanie powierzchni i przestrzeni magazynu oceniono jako niskie. Duży był udział powierzchni strefy kompletacji w całkowitej powierzchni magazynu. Wskaźniki oceniające pracę magazynu były na wysokim poziomie. Wskaźniki kosztowe były zróżnicowane, ale najgorszy wynik osiągnięto w czasie kryzysu gospodarczego w 2009 r.
