In 2016 and 2017 an increase in number of birth and total fertility rate was observed in Poland. An aim of the article is to present on-going changes in fertility pattern and to find specificity of the changes. Main results of the research are: 1) in case of childlessness and the first births arguments supporting continuation were found, 2) in case of subsequent births reasons supporting discontinuation were emerging (increase in probability of the second births and the third ones, decrease in age at the maternity).

Lata 2016 i 2017 to okres wyraźnego wzrostu liczy urodzeń i współczynnika dzietności. Celem artykułu jest przyjrzenie się zachodzącym w latach 2016-2017 zmianom wzorca płodności i próba znalezienia ich specyfiki. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy stwierdzono kontynuację trendów z zakresie bezdzietności i natężenia urodzeń pierwszych, a jednocześnie zmianę zachowań prokreacyjnych w zakresie urodzeń drugich i trzecich polegającą na zwiększeniu prawdopodobieństwa wydania dzieci takiej kolejności i przyspieszeniu momentu wydawania tych dzieci.
