W artykule opisano przykład partycypacyjnego kształtowania centralnych przestrzeni dużego miasta, posiadających wysoką wartość ekonomiczną, ale także i kulturową. Zmiany funkcjonalno-przestrzenne obserwowane na osiedlu od 2010 r. realizowane są z zaangażowaniem i z inicjatywy społeczności mieszkańców i organizacji pozarządowych. Aktywności te stanowią interesujący w warunkach polskich przykład faktycznej partycypacji, wykraczającej poza obserwowane najczęściej fasadowe jej formy. Ze względu na historyczny charakter zabudowy aktywności utrzymujące tkankę materialną osiedla stanowią ciekawy przykład kreatywnego ponownego użycia zasobu.

The paper describes an example of participatory-based creation of the central area of a large city, an area representing high economic and cultural values, namely the settlement of Finnish houses in Warsaw. The functional-spatial changes observed in the housing estate since 2010 are mainly carried out with the involvement of the community of inhabitants and nongovernmental organizations. These activities constitute an interesting example of real participation in the Polish context, which goes beyond the most frequently observed facade forms. The activities that hold the material of the historic housing estate are an interesting example of a creative reuse phenomenon.
