Niniejszy artykuł jest kontynuacją problematyki przedstawionej przez Autora we wcześniejszym (64) numerze kwartalnika, w którym charakteryzując szwajcarski system bankowy, zwrócił on uwagę na jego różnorodność. W sposób szczególny Autor zaakcentował znaczenie banków kantonalnych, jako instytucji wyspecjalizowanych w obsłudze pieniądza samorządowego. W niniejszym tekście Autor koncentruje się na problematyce bankowej obsługi pieniądza samorządowego w Polsce. Analizując jego zasoby, stawia tezę o konieczności podjęcia działań zmierzających do uruchomienia systemu regionalnych banków samorządowych w Polsce.

This article is a continuation of the issues discussed earlier by the author (in the 66 issue of the quarterly), in which, while characterizing the Swiss banking system, the author drew attention to its diversity. In particular, the author emphasised the importance of cantonal banks, as institutions specializing in the service of local government money. Herein, the author focuses on the issues of banking services of local government’s money in Poland. By analysing its resources, he rises a thesis of the need to launch a system of regional self-government banks in Poland.
