The search for an integral and realistic approach to education also requires to fi gure a spiritual and religious dimension of human life in it. Father John Bosco (Don Bosco), while seeking an all-round development of young people as individuals, created an educational environment (Oratory) in which he prepared them for both social and ecclesial life. In his pedagogy, there was place for joy, fun and culture. Getting to know the biography of Don Bosco’s pupils allows us to understand how he implemented integral education in everyday life and interpersonal relations.The most significant testimonies of Don Bosco’s pedagogy are biographies of Alojzy Comollo, Dominik Savio, Michał Magone and Franciszek Besucco. They reveal not only the abundance of experience of these young people and the conditions of society in which they happened to live, but also express the educational humanism and fascinating spiritual culture of Don Bosco’s pedagogy.

Poszukiwanie integralnego i realistycznego ujęcia wychowania domaga się także uwzględnienia w nim wymiaru duchowego i religijnego. Ksiądz Jan Bosko, zabiegając o wszechstronny rozwój wychowanków tworzył środowisko wychowawcze (Oratorium), w którym przygotowywał młodych ludzi do konkretnego życia, tak społecznego, jak i eklezjalnego. W jego pedagogice było miejsce na radość, zabawę i kulturę, apostolat i naukę modlitwy. Poznanie biografii i wychowanków Księdza Bosko pozwala zrozumieć, w jaki sposób, w codziennym życiu i w relacjach międzyludzkich, realizował wychowanie integralne. Do najbardziej znaczących świadectw na temat pedagogiki księdza Bosko należą biografie: Alojzego Comollo, Dominika Savio, Michała Magone i Franciszka Besucco. Odsłaniają one nie tylko bogactwo doświadczeń tych młodych ludzi i uwarunkowania środowiska, w jakim przyszło im żyć, ale także są wyrazem humanizmu edukacyjnego i fascynującej kultury ducha pedagogiki Księdza Bosko.
