This article aims at answering the following question: how to solve spelling dilemmas of Bulgarians learning Polish. The author chose a teaching technique based on cross-language similarities and created a catalogue of features combining the Polish and Bulgarian languages as well as a catalogue of issues that might cause difficulties – interference errors and important differences between both languages – in terms of spelling.
