: The puropse of the article is to analyse solutions adopted in civil service act from 21th November 2008. In the century of civil service it is worth checking out if the solutions match the assumptions specified in Constitution of the Republic of Poland. Article framework allows to focus consideration on a few selected issues: political neutrality, recruitment procedure and wage rights. The achievements of the past years are taken under account when considering, because past experiences can be precious by shaping the current model of civil service.

Artykuł ma na celu przeanalizowanie rozwiązań przyjętych na gruncie ustawy z 21 listopada 2008 r. o służbie cywilnej. W stulecie służby cywilnej warto zweryfikować, czy odpowiadają one założeniom określonym w Konstytucji RP. Ramy artykułu pozwalają, aby rozważania skupić na kilku, wybranych zagadnieniach: neutralności politycznej, postępowaniu naborowym i uprawnieniach płacowych. Przy rozważaniach brany jest pod uwagę dorobek minionych lat, gdyż doświadczenia z przeszłości mogą być cenne przy kształtowaniu aktualnego modelu służby cywilnej.
