Dziedzictwo kulturowe jest ważnym czynnikiem życia i działalności każdego człowieka. Celem artykułu jest zobrazowanie zasobów dziedzictwa kulturowego wsi regionu pomorskiego, które dowodzą znaczących możliwości rozwoju turystyki wiejskiej na tym obszarze. W opracowaniu przedstawiono ideę dziedzictwa kulturowego oraz wskazano konkretne działania podejmowane w zakresie ochrony dziedzictwa wsi (skanseny, parki kulturowe). Badany obszar charakteryzuje się unikatowym środowiskiem, walorami krajobrazowymi oraz różnorodnością kulturową, wynikającą z tożsamości regionalnej i lokalnej. Uwypuklono najważniejsze wyróżniki tożsamości kulturowej Kaszubów oraz określono ich rolę w rozwoju turystyki wiejskiej. Dziedzictwo kulturowe analizowano w relacji do turystyki w skalach lokalnej i regionalnej, z akcentem na kulinarny komponent – produkty regionalne i tradycyjne. Odpowiednie wykorzystanie dziedzictwa kulturowego może przyczynić się do rozwoju obszarów wiejskich i wzrostu natężenia ruchu turystycznego w regionie pomorskim.

Cultural heritage is an important factor in everyone’s life and activities. The purpose of the article is to illustrate the resources of cultural heritage of the villages of the Pomeranian region, which prove significant opportunities for the development of rural tourism in this area. The study presents the idea of cultural heritage and indicates specific actions taken to protect the heritage of the village (ethnographic museums, cultural parks). The studied area is characterized by a unique environment, landscape values and cultural diversity resulting from regional and local identity. The most important distinguishing features of the Kashubian cultural identity were highlighted and their role in the development of rural tourism was determined. Cultural heritage is analyzed in relation to tourism on a local and regional scale, with an emphasis on the culinary component - regional and traditional products. Appropriate use of cultural heritage may contribute to the development of rural areas and the increase of tourist traffic in the Pomeranian region.
