Work is an important factor in the production process and, at the same time, a subject of interest in labor economics. Nowadays, in the times of the new coronavirus pandemic, the issue of employee costs is very important and up-to-date in the context of the denominations faced by modern enterprises. Salaries have many key functions. On the one hand, they are the primary source of household income, and on the other, they occupy a fundamental place in the structure of operating costs. Enterprises are operating in turbulent economic and legal environment. Hence, a comprehensive analysis of employee costs, including the determination of the reasons for the changes taking place is crucial in the management of business entities and in their assessment by investors.

Praca jest ważnym czynnikiem w procesie produkcji, a zarazem przedmiotem zainteresowania ekonomii pracy. Problematyka kosztów pracowniczych jest obecnie, w czasach pandemii nowego koronawirusa, bardzo istotna oraz aktualna w kontekście wyzwań, przed którymi stanęły współczesne przedsiębiorstwa. Wynagrodzenia pełnią wiele kluczowych funkcji: z jednej strony są podstawowym źródłem dochodów gospodarstw domowych, z drugiej zaś – zajmują podstawowe miejsce w strukturze kosztów działalności. Przedsiębiorstwa funkcjonują w turbulentnym otoczeniu ekonomicznym i prawnym, stąd kompleksowa analiza kosztów pracowniczych, w tym określenie przyczyn zachodzących zmian, jest kluczowa w zarządzaniu podmiotami gospodarczymi, jak i w ich ocenie przez inwestorów.
