This paper presents an attempt to apply the simulation model in the study of the dynamic aspects of material-flow in a warehouse. At first the research approach was briefly subjected under explanation and literature review was given. Then simulation tools are noted and various stages of the simulation research procedure, developed by the author of the paper, are discussed. The general way of construction and the use of the simulation model are also described. The paper contains several conclusions based on results of simulation runs as well as suggestions of topics for further study.

The article describes the notion of teacher’s emotional labor, which is an important and often neglected subject in didactics and pedeutology. The thesis is that the manner in which a teacher's emotional labor is being conceptualized affects test method and interpretation. The article presents three different manners in which emotional labor may be conceptualized: (1) emotional labor as process of emotion regulation (psychological approach); (2) emotional labor as a work requirement (sociological approach); (3) emotional labor as a transformation and development tool/as a byproductive labor (critical approach). Each approach is assigned to a different methodological perspective which may be used by educational researchers: (1) quantitative research; (2) qualitative research; (3) “new'' qualitative studies.

The article investigates the issues concerning the development of the mathematical algorithm of competence of future civil engineers in the process of training. The formation of mathematical competence is complex and combines a career as a teacher and the students, because the development and use in the study of higher mathematics theoretically justified algorithm of mathematical competence of future engineers, contribute to the efficiency of the process of mastering the material and mathematical skills, acquisition and skills to use it in their careers. The article highlights and theoretically grounds the stages of formation of mathematical competence of engineers in the professional training, namely: the initial, basic and creative. At the initial stage mathematical training base in the form of assimilation mathematical categories, concepts and methods of operation take place. The purpose of this phase is to determine and provide the necessary amount of training information for successful mastering course of higher mathematics. At the basic step the development is acquired in the first phase of mathematical knowledge and skills. This step is carried out by an introduction to the content of teaching material professionally oriented mathematical problems which solution requires the use of mathematical apparatus. At the creative stage attention is focused on the development of future engineers-builders creative, research skills, self-education activation, ability to independently retrieve and process the information, the ability to manually create new information, issues and problems. The essence of each of the selected stages, the analysis of the impact on the development of mathematical competence of engineers is defined. The developed phased specification provides goals and objectives of each stage, identify and the subjects of the content of the educational material selection and application of the best teaching tools and program effectiveness of the process of formation of mathematical competence of future engineers and the quality of its outcome determined by a complex interaction of all the components of the proposed algorithm. This allows illustrate phased process flow researched, demonstrates the development of mathematical skills, from basic use of mathematical computing operations to solve real professional tasks, which require thorough knowledge of mathematical tools and do not fall within the typical mathematical problems.

The article is devoted to research approaches in the biology education. The relevance of the study is due to the needs of increasing the quality of science education in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to determine the particular organization of research-oriented biology education and its application in schools. The methods of research are: analysis of domestic and foreign scientific and educational literature, comparison, analysis of the practice of training the future biology teachers in the Universities, generalization and systematization of the results. The author reveals the essence of the research approach and research method. We describe the use of research methods in the history of teaching methods of natural science of biology, analyze the methodological views of B. Raikov, K. Yahodovskii, O. Buldovskii and other scientists. Research method is considered by the scientists-methodologists to be one of the priorities in teaching the biology. The essence of the research method is that students acquire knowledge not by the teacher’s words but during the separate searching activity. The student is in the place of the researcher and has an opportunity to draw conclusions that are based on their own experiences and observations. The experience of research-oriented education in foreign countries has been analised. The inquire-based education is quite common in the science education of the United States and European countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland). The ability to research activity is one of the key competences that is necessary to form in a secondary school. The main feature of student’s research ability is a subjective discovery of new knowledge. However, the survey of practicing educators determined that the research-oriented biology education in the secondary school is used enough. According to the research approaches we consider education as a learning model of science. The author describes research technology, indicates the main stages, describes the methodology of the study, compares it with the traditional methods of teaching. The author has found out that the inquire-based biology education contributes to the quality of science education by systematizing the knowledge of students to form their critical thinking and research skills to solve problems. The article presents the advantages and disadvantages of the research-based studing. The proposals for implementing the inquire-based biology education in schools have various types. The prospects for further researches are seen in developing the biology research tasks for the secondary school students

The text deals with the problem of changes in education in a situation forced by the introduction of universal remote education caused by a pandemic. The article uses the concept of the “grammar of schooling"; adopted after D. Tyack and W. Tobin. The aim of the article is to present the “grammar of schooling" as a framework for the conceptual analysis of constancy and dynamics of structures and functioning of school education and to draw attention to the importance of relations and interpretation of what is past, present and possible in the formal, universal education. which has unexpectedly changed, and the familiar elements and words have taken on new meanings. This concept helps to reveal the mechanisms governing the sustainability of patterns and norms of educational practices and to understand shock reactions to rapid changes in education. In this text, this concept sets the framework for describing and explaining the specifics of the new organization of educational interactions in the conditions of the mass of the use of digital media (ieducation), with particular emphasis on education in the social isolation. It is also shown as an attractive frame in the design of education research at every level of schooling.
