The improvement of the organization and content of research on “Physical culture and sports” as an important precondition for reform of this speciality is proved. The aim of the article is to uncover the state of problems of organization and content of researches in physical culture and sports for the description of the ways of its further development. Research methods: a study of scientific literature, theoretical methods. Results.The article reveals the ways of improving the organization and content of scientific research as essential preconditions for the further reform of physical culture and sport. Attention of the research is paid to the problems of physical culture and sport in the structure of scientific specialties in Ukraine. There are several options, for example, revision of passports of the majors (specialisations): 24.00.01, 24.00.02, 24.00.03, or taking into consideration the fact that specialty 017 “Physical culture and sport” has the aim to prepare specialists for this sphere, starting from 2015 withering the branch of knowledge education, it is possible the return of these (or following the example of other countries, one of these specialties) to the area of pedagogical sciences. If the specialty of the codes 24.00.01, 24.00.02 and 24.00.03 will be further stored, you need to turn the direction of researches on the improvement of training and retraining of specialists. If the decision will restore “Theory and methodology of physical education, sports training, improving and adaptive physical education” in the usual framework of pedagogical science, you need to specify significantly smaller directions of researches in their specialties, bringing them to your own theory and methodology of physical culture and sports. It is concluded that in the modern Ukraine there should be more efficiently than it was until recently, used the opportunities for conducting research to intensify the development of the field of physical culture and sports, a prerequisite of which is a sufficient number of highly qualified professionals with scientific degrees, and also creation of the Ministry of youth and sports of Ukraine, which should determine the priorities of directing relevant for our country developments; find opportunities to support their implementation in practice of physical culture and sports.

The paper presents characteristics of research areas in the field of physical culture and sports. The stages of students’ research activities and the peculiarities of physical education specialists’ acmeological competence formation in the process of researches while getting higher education are reviewed in the article. The structure, forms, types of students’ research activities are given. The components of acmeological competence that are being formed during the students’ research activity in the process of continuous professional training in physical education are specified. The research activity of students, as noted in the article, is the activities related to the search for the answer to creative research problem with an unknown solution in advance. It is concluded that independent and research work of students of the physical education specialty in the process of continuous training contributes to the formation of acmeological components of competence: motivation, which is characterized by the awareness of the importance of knowledge about research activities, positive motive to engaging in research activities, personal sense, satisfaction with their own research activities; cognitive, which includes knowledge about the logic of scientific knowledge, the structure of scientific research, stages of research activities, the experimental foundations of the study of the investigated phenomena, methods of obtaining and processing the results; activity, which is determined by the skills to plan and implement their own research activities, work with literature, to analyze, to identify the main thought, to see the research problem, to identify inconsistencies, to formulate hypotheses, to select the appropriate means of conducting the study, to make conclusions; personal, which involves education and development of such personality traits as scientific intuition, creative abilities, creativity, capacity for self-awareness, objective self-assessment, self-criticism, readiness to overcome difficulties, to identify and eliminate their causes. In the process of research work of students of the specialty of physical education it is expedient to use the methods: theoretical analysis in scientific researches on physical culture (bibliographic methods of search and study of scientific information – the analysis of scientific and methodological literature); experimental-theoretical methods (pedagogical experiment, modeling, forecasting, historical method); empirical methods (pedagogical observation, questionnaires, interviews, analysis of documentary materials), methods of statistical processing of experimental data obtained using computer technologies. Independent and research work of students of the specialty of physical education in the process of continuous professional training contributes to the formation of components of acmeological competence: a motivational, characterized by awareness of the significance of knowledge about research activities, the presence of a positive motive to engaging in research activities, personal meaning, satisfaction with their own research activity; cognitive, which includes knowledge about the logic of scientific knowledge, the structure of research, the stages of research activities, experimental basis for studying the investigated phenomena, methods for obtaining and processing the results; activity, determined by the ability to plan and implement their own research activities, work with literature, analyze, highlight the main thing, see the problem of research, identify contradictions, formulate hypotheses, select the appropriate means for conducting research, draw conclusions; personal, which involves the education and development of personality traits, such as scientific intuition, creative abilities, creativity, ability to self-examination, objective self-esteem, self-criticism, readiness to overcome difficulties, identify and eliminate their causes.

The author makes an attempt to identify the psychological and pedagogical mechanisms of influence on future teacher’s productive researching in the framework of the individual approach. The author emphasizes on the priority and importance of scientific research in the training of future teachers. The specific features of research-oriented practice of future teachers in Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are defined and grounded. The article is devoted to coverage and analysis of the essential characteristics of scientific, technological and innovation policies in higher education in Ukraine in the conditions of globalization changes. It is proved that the final result of successful research and methodology framing of the students’ activities should be professional and internal readiness of the future teacher-researcher to conscious understanding of the nature and characteristics of future professional reality, professional and competent performance of educational activities in accordance with the social demand. The search and research tasks, which are based on modern requirements for future teachers are characterized. The author defines the effective flow of the educational process by means of research work at the university, which consists of three areas: scientific research in the structure of education and the educational process, in extracurricular activities, scientific research, which is parallel to the educational process. The increasing role of science in society, the growth of its social prestige is justified. The essence and role of the teaching profession is shown. Accentuated by the need to build higher education on the principles of the XXI century, the organization of research activities, practical and pragmatic orientation is grounded. In search of the solution to the problem of research the importance of science, which gets organically into all kinds of human activity, and is a prerequisite for success and is one of the most prestigious aspects of human activity is stressed. It is proved that the content, form and means of future teachers’ gradual involvement to professionally oriented scientific research, pedagogical support of its framing should be aimed at gradual implementation of the students’ creative ideas into life, the ideas of updating their future careers and searching for appropriate implementation of their scientific potential. The results of this gradual differentiated organization of research have shown that the technique has contributed to consolidation of stable motivation for implementing research activities; creation of favourable environment for internationalization of value-oriented individual attitude of future teachers to their profession and to further creative research.

Contemporary pedagogy searches for the ways to reorient teachers' and students' activity towards the aim of sustainable development. The teacher becomes involved both in teaching/learning activities and in researching the environment of his own activities in order to design the environment favourable for students' development. The article presents the analysis of research and learning environment and activities that promote the development of students' research skills in one of Latvia's secondary schools. It displays the research methods and means identified in students' research works, and evaluates the research environment in the school. Several types of environment were identified, which teachers can purposefully use to develop the research skills of their students. The results of analysis can be implemented by educational institutions, which organise students' research activities. The described methods and means can be used in learning environment with no supplementary material resources required and involving teachers in research of school environment therefore re-orientating their professional frames of reference to address sustainable development.

The article deals with the organization of research activities in the school. Research work at teaching mathematics is examined as creative intellectual activity of pupils. Skills of research activity are a necessary condition of the modern successful person’s existence and can be developed at the mathematics lessons. Pupils’ research work is the special type of educational activity, during which on the basis of theoretical and practical knowledge, abilities and skills, pupils work out the theoretical or applied scientific problems of different degree of complication and difficulty. The main idea of the article is to study how to induce an individual to active independent activity and creation at the mathematics lessons by means of research work. Pupils must get not only knowledge and abilities but also to accumulate experience in the process of studying mathematics. The use of laboratory works at the mathematics lessons demonstrates the applied aspect of mathematics, fastens intersubject copulas, promotes cognitive interest in mathematics, level of pupils’ independent and research activity, improvement of pupils’ mathematical preparation quality which provides the competence approach of mathematics teaching. It is useful to conduct laboratory works at the mathematics lessons, for example, in the 6 form while studying the topics “Circle”, “Mean arithmetic”, “Middle value of size”. The use of laboratory works at home is also useful as such the type of work is shown by the applied application of mathematics and aсtualize knowledge and pupils’ abilities, obtained above. Organizing of the laboratory home-work is possible at senior pupils’ school while studying of statistics. Implementation of laboratory work requires pupils’ ability to conduct the various measuring, determine unknown quantity from formulas, and also to evaluate the mean value of quantities and errors. Statistical treatment of measuring results is an extraordinarily useful and interesting task for senior pupils. The pupils’ laboratory works are described, which can be conducted by pupils independently at home without any special equipment. It’s “Irrational use of running water while brushing your teeth” for citizen pupils and “Sources of contamination of atmospheric air and ways of its renewal” for village pupils.

In the article the history of organizing of the methodological training for the teachers of mathematics at the Slavyansk State Pedagogical Institute in the 70th of the XXth century is analyzed. On the basis of the archival documents the author considered and made the comparative analysis of the curricular used for teaching the full and part time students of the Physics and Mathematics Department in the period under investigation. A theoreticalanalysisofthestudents'research work, self-study work, political and educational work at Physicsand Mathematicsfaculty of Sloviansk State Pedagogical Institute is carried out; drawbacks of this work while preparing the teachers of mathematics are pointed out; the reasons of their occurrence are described in thearticle. Onthebasisofarchivaldocumentstheauthor observed andanalyzed differenttypesof self-study work of full and part time students inthe given periodofresearchand also the workofteachers’ staff, the students’ workinspecial classrooms at the faculty while preparing futureteachers of mathematics for classes are analyzed. Theauthor carried out the analysis of the controlofstudents’ self-study work: testpapers, colloquia, conspects, protocols, laboratoryworks, the plan of semesterscheduleofstudents' self-study workreporting on themainsubjectsofeachcourse (2–3 timespersemester), reporting at the meetingofthedepartment, etc.Thebasicforms oftheabovementionedwork are described: groupandsectional lessons, individualconsultations, courseworks. Conclusions are made where the author shows how the students’ self-study work results in students’ progress. An analysisofthestudents'research work and political and educational work at PhysicsandMathematicsfaculty of Sloviansk State Pedagogical Institute is carried out; drawbacks of this work while preparing the teachers of mathematics are pointed out; the reasons of their occurrence are described in thearticle. The article showed the advantages of programs in the 70th of the XXth century for future math teachers: they use more various methods and practices, begin their career being more confident in their knowledge and professional skills, more familiar with their professional duties in and out of school, they are more reflective and less likely to quit the teaching career during the first years of in-service activity.

Мета дослідження. Розкриття інноваційних резервів економіки України і обґрунтування необхідності та можливості їх використання. Методи дослідження – теоретичні та практичні. Результати дослідження. За двадцять п’ять років незалежності Україна практично втратила, або знизила до мінімуму виробництво високотехнологічної продукції. Це ставить перед нею завдання змінити відношення держави до науки та інноваційної діяльності. В складних умовах дефіциту фінансових ресурсів, Україні необхідно визначити пріоритетні галузі та напрями розвитку національної економіки і забезпечити їх фінансування. Варто відмовитися від популістського бажання негайно вирішити всі соціально-побутові питання та направити вивільнені кошти на підтримку наукових, науково-дослідних установ та підприємств, які впроваджують інновації. До галузей, які здатні відіграти роль локомотива в розвитку економіки країни і тому повинні отримати пріоритетне фінансування від держави, слід віднести: авіо-космічне та сільськогосподарське машинобудування, металургійний комплекс, продукцію оборонного спрямування, відновлювану енергетику, інформаційно-комунікаційні технології, біотехнології, які є основою для виробництва вітчизняних медичних препаратів, та нанотехнології. Для стимулювання інноваційної діяльності підприємств та залучення коштів зарубіжних і вітчизняних інвесторів варто використати не тільки фінансові можливості держави, а й регіонів. При цьому комплекс заходів державних та регіональних інституцій з підтримки інвесторів, які фінансуватимуть інноваційні проекти, повинен включати правовий захист інтересів інвесторів, пільговий режим оподаткування їхніх доходів, забезпечення доступу до природних та матеріальних ресурсів України. До того ж сприяння у впровадженні інновацій повинні отримати не тільки великі, а й середні та малі підприємства. Створення сприятливих умов для використання наявних резервів для інноваційного оновлення економіки України, дозволить нашій країні позбутися орієнтації на використання наявних природних ресурсів і виробництво продукції з низьким ступенем переробки та долучитися до групи країн, в основі розвитку яких лежать високі технології.

Purpose. Disclosure of innovative reserves of Ukraine’s economy and statement of the need and the feasibility of their using. Methods – theoretical and practical. Results. For twenty-five years of independence, Ukraine practically has lost or has reduced to the minimum production of high-tech products. This is set an objective to change the attitude of science and innovation. In the difficult conditions of lack of financial resources, Ukraine should identify priority industries and directions for the development national economy and provide funding. Country should abandon of populist desire to solve all the social and domestic issues immediately and direct the released funds to support scientific and research institutions and enterprises that implement innovations. To the industries that are able to play the role of locomotive in the country’s economy development and therefore should receive priority funding from the state, must be attributed: the aeronautical, space and agricultural machine-building, metallurgical industry, military products, renewable energy, information and communication technology, biotechnology, that is the basis for domestic production of medicines, and nanotechnology. To encourage innovation activities of enterprises and raise funds overseas and domestic investors should use not only the financial capacity of the state, but also regions. At that, complex of measures national and regional institutions to support investors who finance innovative projects should include legal protection of interests of investors, preferential tax treatment of their income, access to natural and material resources of Ukraine. For this assisting in the implementation of innovation must receive not only large but also medium and small enterprises. Creating favourable conditions for the use of available reserves for the innovative renewal of economy of Ukraine, will allow our country rid of orientation on the use of available natural resources and production of products with low degree of processing and join the group of countries at the base of which are high technology.

Scientific activities performed in museums comprise of research on museum objects that is published in raisonée catalogues, and discussions (based on those collections) on cultural history issues that have not been explored so far. The author presents some examples of (problematic and monographic) museum exhibitions of modern painting which substantially contributed – and sometimes even opened new research perspectives – to painting history. According to the author, the creativity of Polish museologists is not utilized to the full extent due to shortcomings in organization of work.

Autorka przywołuje przykłady muzealnych wystaw (problemowych i monograficznych) z dziedziny nowożytnego malarstwa, których wyniki były istotnym wkładem, niekiedy i otwarciem nowych perspektyw badawczych dla historii malarstwa. Niepełne spożytkowywanie kreatywności polskich muzealników wynika zdaniem autorki z mankamentów organizacji ich pracy.

The training of the teachers is on a special place between other problems of modern education. Forms and methouds of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China is an integral part of teachers’ training. The system of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China is constantly developed. The question of forms and methouds of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China is not revealed in Ukrainian research literature on sufficient level. The article is devoted to the peculiarities of forms and methouds of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China, the importance of raising the level of teachers’ skills is highlighted, the need to improve knowledge for teachers and the basic types of the system of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China are analyzed in detail, the basic documents that coordinate this system are analyzed, the requirements to teachers to raise their abilities steadily, the function of the higher educational establisments are considered. The aim of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China is to increase their professional abilities, its influence on the pedagogical process. A responsible teacher should be well educated ideologically, should have a high level of knowledge of the subject and be a responsible person, who conscientiously treats his profession. There are a lot of interesting innovative forms and methods to raise teachers’ professional skills, such as discourse, dispute, Internet conference and others. The article reveals the meaning of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China, it’s importance, it’s necessity, the problems which teachers could have with their work during the activity. One of the most important forms of raising the level of teachers’ skills in China is to make pedagogical or scientific research. It is also important that Chinese government must encourage teachers to raise their professional skill. All these factors are important, because the high-qualified teacher, who constantly work at the improving their professional skills and abilities can influence the formation of good attitude to the teaching profession in trainees. Pedagogical research and summarized observations of teaching experience, primary sources are used as a method of research, theoretical generalizations and conclusions are made. The results of the research can be used in disciplines “General pedagogy” and “Comparative pedagogy”.

Erich Maria Remarque-Friedenszentrum has existed since 1997, although its activity in the new building was preceded by the creation of a documentary center at the University of Osnabrück (1985), and a few years later by the archives. The aim of these activities was to commemorate the writer E. M. Remarque born in Osnabrück, collect materials about his life and works and popularize his literary legacy. For thirty years, the center has expanded the scope of its activity considerably, becoming not only an archive, but also a research, educational and publishing facility. The approaching jubilees – the 50th anniversary of the writer’s death and the 125th birthday – incline one to summarize, reflect on the history of the center’s creation and development, and to pose a question about the tasks and possibilities for the future.

Der Beitrag setzt sich zum Ziel, die Entstehungsgeschichte und den Wirkungsbereich des Erich Maria Remarque-Friedenszentrums in Osnabrück darzustellen. 1985 zunächst als Dokumentationsstelle im Fachbereich der Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft der Universität Osnabrück ins Leben gerufen, dann ins Remarque-Archiv verwandelt und letztendlich als Erich Maria Remarque-Friedenszentrum weltweit bekannt befasst sich diese Institution seit über drei Jahrzenten mit Leben und Werk des aus Osnabrück stammenden Erich Maria Remarque. Die Aktivitäten des Friedenszentrums konzentrieren sich nicht nur auf die Dokumentation des Nachlasses, sondern umfassen Veröffentlichungen von Forschungsergebnissen über Remarques Werk, Neuausgaben seiner Werke, Zusammenarbeit mit Schulen, Bildungsinstitutionen und Forschungsstellen in der ganzen Welt. Die bevorstehenden Jubiläen des Schriftstellers, sein 50. Todestag im Jahre 2020 und 125. Geburtstag 2023, geben Anlass zu einer Bilanz und regen zugleich zur Reflexion über künftige Aufgaben dieser Institution an.

Erich Maria Remarque-Friedenszentrum istnieje od 1997 roku, choć jego działalność w nowym budynku poprzedziło najpierw powołanie do życia centrum dokumentacyjnego przy Uniwersytecie w Osnabrück (1985), a parę lat później archiwum. Celem tych działań było upamiętnienie urodzonego w Osnabrück pisarza E.M. Remarque’a, zbieranie materiałów o życiu i twórczości oraz popularyzowanie jego spuścizny literackiej. Przez trzydzieści lat centrum poszerzyło znacząco swój zakresdziałania, stając się nie tylko archiwum, ale także placówką badawczo-naukową, edukacyjną i wydawniczą. Zbliżające się jubileusze – 50. rocznica śmierci pisarza i 125. urodzin – skłaniają do podsumowania, refleksji nad historią powstania i rozwoju centrum, a także do postawienia pytania o zadania i możliwościach na przyszłość.
