The subject of the study's interest is fifteen of the most popular Polish oncology blogs. Internet autopathrographies are a crucial element of the maladic discourse because they create an alternative to the strictly medical way of perceiving the disease, its experience, the healing process and new functioning in the world during and after the disease. Above all, they provide a space for creating a virtual community of patients with malignant tumors – a community based on the borderline experience of a life-threatening, genuinely deadly disease. .

Przedmiotem zainteresowania uczyniono w opracowaniu 15 najpopularniejszych polskich blogów onkologicznych. Te internetowe autopatografie stanowią ważny element dyskursu maladycznego, ponieważ tworzą alternatywny wobec stricte medycznego sposób ujmowania tego fragmentu rzeczywistości, jakim jest choroba, jej doświadczanie, proces leczenia oraz nowego funkcjonowania w świecie w trakcie choroby i po niej. Przede wszystkim jednak stanowią one miejsce kreowania wirtualnej wspólnoty pacjentów chorych na nowotwory złośliwe – wspólnoty opartej na doświadczeniu granicznym, doświadczeniu groźnej, realnie śmiertelnej choroby.
