Od rytmizacji do oper i baletów. Wokół muzycznych inscenizacji Jana Dormana

The paper addresses the issue of musicality in the theatre of Jan Dorman, in particular his last productions, in which music was a starting point for the staging concept. “Musical” thinking about the theatre always had a strong impact on Dorman’s creative process. His first productions included children’s songs and counting rhymes, and this led to a rhythmisation of the text in the subsequent ones. Composing the spectacle along the lines of a musical score, which became the hallmark of Jan Dorman’s theatre, is especially prominent in his last theatre works inspired by larger musical forms, such as concert, ballet and opera. These performances represent a synthesis of various musical tropes and signs that were so characteristic of  Dorman’s theatre at various stages of its development.

Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie muzyczności w teatrze Jana Dormana, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ostatnich przedstawień reżysera, w których muzyka staje się punktem wyjścia dla inscenizacyjnej koncepcji. „Muzyczne” myślenie o teatrze towarzyszyło Dormanowi od początku jego artystycznej działalności. O dźwiękowym charakterze pierwszych inscenizacji reżysera decydowały przede wszystkim dziecięce piosenki i wyliczanki, w kolejnych funkcję taką zaczęła pełnić również ścisła rytmizacja tekstu. Komponowanie spektaklu na wzór muzycznej partytury, które staje się znakiem rozpoznawczym teatru Jana Dormana osiąga swój najpełniejszy wymiar w inscenizacjach inspirowanych wielkimi formami muzycznymi – koncertem, baletem i operą. Powstają one w końcowym okresie twórczości artysty, stanowiąc jednocześnie syntezę rozmaitych tropów muzycznych, obecnych i rozpoznawanych w teatrze Dormana na różnych etapach jego rozwoju.
