Krajobraz polskich miast, wsi, pól, lasów, rozstajów dróg naznacza obecność krzyży, kapliczek, figur. Część obiektów małej architektury sakralnej, które dotrwały do czasów współczesnych, przetrwało w niezmienionej, pierwotnej formie, wiele natomiast jest kontynuacją wcześniejszych budowli, które uległy zniszczeniu przez upływ czasu lub celowe działania człowieka. Niektórych obiektów dotyczą legendy i opowieści związane w różny sposób z Tatarami. Tekst zbiera, prezentuje i omawia tatarskie wątki opisujące historie tych chrześcijańskich obiektów sakralnych.

The landscape of Polish towns, villages, fields, forests and crossroads is marked by the presence of crosses, chapels and statues. Some of the objects of small religious architecture, which have survived to modern times, have survived in an unchanged, original form, while many are a continuation of earlier structures, which were destroyed by the passage of time or deliberate human action. Some of the sites are associated with legends and stories related to the Tatars in various ways. The text collects, presents and discusses Tartar connections describing the stories of these Christian religious buildings.
