Zagadnienie konstrukcji romantycznego cyklu lirycznego. Przypadek Mickiewicza (Sonety krymskie), Norwida (Vade-mecum) i Baudelaire’a (Kwiaty zła)

The subject of the article is the comparison of three poetic cycles, in order to highlight the similarities and differences in the structure of the poems. The rules applicable to the structures of that type were analysed. In addition to the Polish works, Crimean Sonnets by Adam Mickiewicz and Vade-mecum by Cyprian Norwid, the volume The Flowers of Evil by Charles Baudelaire was included (because of its frequent comparisons with Norwid’s cycle). The factors determining the cohesion of poems with each other (within each of those cycles) and architectonic ideas, proposed by researchers, are discussed, leading to the conclusion that through different options of linking texts and creating smaller groups of poems (sub-cycles or mini-cycles), poetic cycles are generally characterised by “ambiguity” of composition. Different formal and thematic relations between the individual texts can be seen in them, which depends – to a certain extent – on the interpretation of each link, as well as the whole cycle.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest konfrontacja trzech cykli poetyckich w celu wydobycia podobieństw i różnic dotyczących układu wierszy. Podjęto kwestię reguł obowiązujących w tego typu konstrukcjach. Obok tak reprezentatywnych tytułów, jak Sonety krymskie Adama Mickiewicza i Vade-mecum Cypriana Norwida, uwzględniono tom Charles’a Baudelaire’a Kwiaty zła (z powodu częstego zestawiania go z cyklem Norwidowskim). Omawiane są czynniki stanowiące o spójności wierszy ze sobą (w ramach każdego z tych zbiorów) oraz proponowane przez badaczy idee architektoniczne, które decydują o porządku danego cyklu. Rozważania prowadzą do wniosku, że dopuszczalne są różne możliwości łączenia tekstów ze sobą i tworzenia mniejszych grup wierszy (podcykli czy minicykli) w zestawie autorskim. Cykle poetyckie z reguły charakteryzują się bowiem „wieloznacznością” kompozycyjną i można dopatrywać się w nich rozmaitych związków formalnych lub tematycznych między pojedynczymi tekstami. Zależy to poniekąd od interpretacji każdego z ogniw, jak i całości zbioru.
