The article presents an analysis of the functioning of a boy with autism in the linguistic, cognitive and social dimensions, including both the definition of the area of deficits and the skills possessed and acquired during participation in planned therapeutic activities. A standardized test was used for the research: Psychoeducational Profile (PEP-R) and experimental and clinical methods, i.e. psychological interview, observation and tests to assess the boy’s social cognition competences.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę funkcjonowania chłopca z autyzmem w wymiarze językowym, poznawczym i społecznym, obejmującą zarówno określenie obszaru deficytów, jak i posiadanych i zdobytych w trakcie uczestniczenia w zaplanowanych zajęciach terapeutycznych umiejętności. Do badań posłużono się testem standaryzowanym: Profilem Psychoedukacyjnym (PEP-R) oraz metodami eksperymentalno-klinicznymi, tj. wywiadem psychologicznym, obserwacją oraz próbami do oceny kompetencji chłopca z zakresu poznania społecznego.
