Przedmiotem artykułu jest rozwój semantyczny przymiotnika humanistyczny. Wyraz ten coraz częściej występuje w kolokacjach odbiegających od tradycyjnie utrwalonych w polszczyźnie, np. ślub humanistyczny, pogrzeb humanistyczny. Wiąże się to z pojawieniem się nowych zjawisk w przestrzeni społecznej (alternatywne formy ślubu, pogrzebu itp.) i oddziaływaniem języka angielskiego.

The subject of the article is the semantic development of the adjective “humanistyczny”. This word is more and more often found in collocation that differ from those traditionally recorded in Polish e.g. humanist wedding, humanist funeral. It is connected with the appearance of new phenomena in the social realm (alternative forms of marriage, funeral, etc.) and the impact of English.

W artykule przedstawiony został rozwój semantyczny czasownika „masakrować” w powojennej polszczyźnie. Omówione zostały znaczenia tego leksemu nienotowane przez słowniki języka polskiego; szczególną uwagę zwrócono na popularność, jaką w ostatnim czasie zyskuje on w tekstach dotyczących tematyki politycznej, służąc w nich do referowania wypowiedzi osoby trzeciej (w zdaniach typu „Korwin masakruje lewaka”).

The article presents the semantic development of the verb “masakrować” in contemporary Polish. Meanings of this lexeme not recorded in dictionaries of Polish have been discussed. Particular attention has been paid to the popularity it is gaining in texts regarding political topics where it is used to report words of a third party (in sentences like “Korwin masakruje lewaka”).
