Prowadzenie działalności gospodarczej na rynku usług telefonii komórkowej w Polsce staje się dla operatorów telekomunikacyjnych poważnym wyzwaniem. Rosnące nasycenie rynku usługami, wzrost liczby usługodawców, zwiększenie wymagań klientów oraz konieczność wydatkowania znacznych środków finansowych na zakup częstotliwości i inwestycje infrastrukturalne to tylko najważniejsze z problemów, z którymi muszą się zmierzyć. W związku z tymi zagrożeniami operatorzy zmuszeni zostali do poszukiwania koncepcji strategicznych, które pozwolą im efektywnie prowadzić działalność gospodarczą na rynku usług telefonii komórkowej. W artykule przedstawiono szeroki zakres działań o charakterze strategicznym, które są podejmowane lub mogą być podjęte przez operatorów telefonii komórkowej w Polsce, w celu sprostania wymogom konkurencji rynkowej.

Running a business on the mobile services market in Poland is becoming a major challenge for telecommunication operators. The growing market saturation with services, increase in the number of service providers, increasing requirements of customers and the necessity of disbursing considerable financial means for the purchase of the frequencies and infrastructure are only the most important problems, which operators have to cope with. In relation to these threats operators were forced to seek strategic concepts, which will let them effectively conduct their business activities on the market of mobile communications services. The article is presents a wide range of activities, which are being taken or may be taken by mobile operators in Poland with the aim of meeting the requirements of the market competition.
