Współczesne meble z Jasienicy w kontekście mody na styl skandynawski w meblarstwie polskim

The subject of the author’s considerations is the formation of the term “Scandinavian design” and its influence on Polish design from the late 1950s to the present day. The introductory part analyzes the activity of the Finmar company, which after the war was run by Paul Stemann and contributed to the promotion of the term “Scandinavian design” by popularizing the products of the Nordic countries on the markets of Western Europe and the United States. The next part of the text presents the development of cooperation of the Swedish company IKEA with Polish producers and designers, recognizing the activities of Ingvar Kamprad as an important element in the dissemination of Scandinavian furniture style in Poland. As a contemporary continuation of the Scandinavian minimalism in Polish furniture, the activities of two designers were presented: Jadwiga Husarska-Sobina and Tomasz Rygalik, who implemented their projects in cooperation with Paged Meble SA, which currently has the resources of the former Bent Furniture Factory in Jasienica.

Przedmiotem rozważań autorki artykułu jest ukształtowanie się pojęcia „design skandynawski” i jego wpływ na wzornictwo polskie od późnych lat 50. XX wieku po czasy współczesne. We wstępnej części tekstu poddano analizie działalność firmy Finmar, prowadzonej po wojnie przez Paula Stemanna, która przyczyniła się do wypromowania określenia „design skandynawski”, popularyzując wyroby krajów nordyckich na rynkach Europy Zachodniej oraz w Stanach Zjednoczonych. W kolejnej części tekstu przedstawiono rozwój współpracy szwedzkiej firmy IKEA z producentami i projektantami polskimi, uznając działania Ingvara Kamprada za ważny element w zakresie rozpowszechnienia w Polsce skandynawskiej stylistyki meblarstwa. Jako współczesną kontynuację mody na skandynawski minimalizm w meblarstwie polskim zaprezentowano działania dwojga projektantów: Jadwigi Husarskiej-Sobiny oraz Tomasza Rygalika, którzy realizowali swoje projekty we współpracy z firmą Paged Meble SA, dysponującą obecnie zasobami dawnej Fabryki Mebli Giętych w Jasienicy.
