In the article I present the theoretical approach issues concerning school programs. I also present a number of themes from own research on the role of education programs in educational practice. I pay much attention to the legal provisions in the application of educational programs.

The author analyses the problems of translating school documents from Polish into German. At the beginning, he gives the definition for an official document and tries to decide whether school documents can be treated as official documents. Furthermore, he defines what the certified translation of documents is and establishes what kind of documents can be subject to it. As the translation of Polish school documents is not possible if one does not know the system of education in Poland, the author describes it and then he discusses in detail the problems of translating school documents. The most important problems in this respect are as follows: the translation of the proper names of institutions issuing school documents, the translation of vocational titles, degrees, academic degrees and academic titles, the translation of the names of school subjects, and the translation of statements about the level of education and qualifications. Finally, the author analyses terminological problems arising from the differences in education systems in Poland and in the German-speaking countries.

Niniejszy artykuł poddaje analizie problemy tłumaczenia poświadczonego dokumentów szkolnych z języka polskiego na język niemiecki. Na wstępie podjęto próbę zdefiniowania dokumentu urzędowego oraz udzielenia odpowiedzi, czy dokumenty szkolne są także dokumentem urzędowym. Ponadto w artykule zdefiniowano, co oznacza tłumaczenie poświadczone dokumentów, i ustalono, jakie dokumenty szkolne mogą być przedmiotem tłumaczenia poświadczonego. Tłumaczenie polskich dokumentów szkolnych nie jest możliwe bez znajomości systemu edukacyjnego w Polsce. Po jego przybliżeniu omówiono szczegółowo problemy translacyjne tłumaczenia dokumentów szkolnych, na jakie może napotkać tłumacz przysięgły w swojej praktyce. Są to: przekład nazw instytucji wydających dokumenty szkolne, tytułów zawodowych, stopni oraz tytułów naukowych, skal ocen z przedmiotów nauczania oraz z zachowania, nazw przedmiotów oraz formuł poświadczających posiadane przez absolwenta wykształcenie i jego uprawnienia. Podczas tłumaczenia mogą pojawić się także problemy terminologiczne spowodowane różnicami w systemie edukacji państwa języka wyjściowego i docelowego oraz trudności z przekładem elementów brachygraficznych.
