Teza. Niniejszy artykuł porusza problematykę zagospodarowania terenów szkolnych z perspektywy założeń nowoczesnej edukacji. Przestrzeń przy szkołach może pełnić szereg funkcji: reprezentacyjną, sportową, kulturalną, dydaktyczną oraz szeroko rozumianą funkcję sensoryczną. Omówione koncepcje. W ramach artykułu zaprezentowano przykładowe koncepcje zagospodarowania terenu szkolnego jako przestrzeni sensoryczno-edukacyjnej. Jedna posiada cechy ogrodu dydaktyczno-doświadczalnego, druga stanowi układ zainspirowany aktywnością artystyczną młodzieży w ramach street art. Obie nawiązują do przewodniej idei prac projektowych, jaką było urządzenie kreatywnej przestrzeni dla młodzieży Wynik i wnioski. Zastosowanie edukacyjnych elementów wyposażenia, powiązanych z zielenią komponowaną stymulującą zmysły, pozwala na prowadzenie lekcji i zajęć pozalekcyjnych na świeżym powietrzu oraz atrakcyjne spędzanie przerw międzylekcyjnych. Warto wprowadzać do tej przestrzeni nie tylko obiekty sportowe, ale także instalacje sensoryczne umożliwiające wykonywanie doświadczeń i zachęcające do nauki w ogrodzie. W przestrzeni przyszkolnej powinny być skomponowane nasadzenia takich gatunków roślin, które sprzyjają wielozmysłowemu rozwojowi uczniów. Oryginalność. Zaprezentowane koncepcje są innowacyjnym pomysłem na wykorzystanie przestrzeni przyszkolnej do realizacji treści programowych i organizacji czasu wolnego.

Argument. This article focused on issues of development of school areas from the perspective of modern education. The space around the schools can fulfil a number of functions: sport, cultural, educational and sensory. The concept discussed. Exemplary concepts of development of the school areas as sensory and educational space are presented in the article. One has the features of a didactic-experimental garden, the other is a system inspired by the artistic activity of youth in street art. Both refer to the guiding idea of design work, which was to create an innovative space for young people. Results and conclusions. The use of educational elements of area equipment associated with the composed greenery stimulating senses, allows to conduct lessons in open space and attractive spending of breaks. There are needed in the school areas not only sport objects, also sensory equipment for performing of experiments and encourage to learning in the garden. In the school space should be compose plant species that favour the development of sensory of learners. Orginality. The presented concepts are an innovative idea for using the space at the school to implement the program content and organization of free time.
