There is an increasing tendency for Polish women to travel to Egypt on holiday. They seem be driven by more than the need to sunbathe on an azure seashore. There is also the phenomenon of what is commonly denominated „sex tourism”. Egypt is said to be one of the main female sex tourism destinations of present times. The author of this paper was interested in the range of reasons for which young heterosexual Polish women have vacations in Egypt. She wanted to verify the relevance of the stereotype of the sexual motive of travelling to Egypt. She further sought to investigate what drove Polish women and Egyptian men to enter multicultural relationships.

: The present article covers a characterization of those people who act in a widely understood sex-business. In the first order, an attempt was undertaken to define a person who is defined as a commercial sex worker (CSW). Considering the legality or illegality of prostitution in individual countries, those employed in sex business are defined in different manners; they also possess various rights. In the further part of the deliberations, a characterization was provided of those people who prostitute themselves including the motives of their involvement in sex business. In the final part of the study, an attempt was made to assess the quantity of the supply of sex tourist services. This issue is particularly debatable, among others due to the fact that in many countries, no statistics are provided in the scope of the numbers of people who prostitute themselves; furthermore, not all of these people can be counted as those who operate in sex tourism.

W artykule przedstawiono charakterystykę osób działających z szeroko rozumiany seksbiznesie. W pierwszej kolejności podjęto próbę zdefiniowania osoby określanej jako commercial sex worker (CSW). Ze względu na legalność, bądź nielegalność prostytucji w poszczególnych krajach, zatrudnieni w seksbiznesie są inaczej definiowani, przysługują im też odmienne prawa. W dalszej części rozważań przedstawiono charakterystykę osób prostytuujących się, a także motywy ich zaangażowania się w seksbiznes. W końcowej części opracowania dokonano próby oszacowania wielkości podaży usług seksturystycznych. Zagadnienie to jest szczególnie problematyczne, m.in. ze względu na fakt, iż w wielu krajach nie prowadzi się statystyk w zakresie liczby osób prostytuujących się, a ponadto nie wszystkie te osoby mogą być zaliczane jako działające w seksturystyce.

The purpose of this article is to resolve, whether the sex tourism can be considered as a field of the cultural tourism. There is no doubt, that the sex tourism has a lot in common with pathological tourism. Although, the thing which is debatable, is how to define this phenomenon. Both polish and foreign researchers often represent different approaches to this matter, which proves how little is known so far about the sex tourism. The analysis of literature, as well as of the web content, the reportages and documentaries, and the diagnostic survey method were used in order to achieve the objectives. The first method – literature analysis – didn’t allow to assign the sex tourism into neither pathological, nor cultural tourism. The respondents of the survey didn’t show enough of familiarization with the phenomenon, which would prove the understanding of its broadness. The effect of the deep study of this issue resulted in a creation of a new division of sex tourism. What is more, the new approach to the sex tourism was also presented.

Celem artykułu jest rozstrzygnięcie, czy turystyka seksualna może być klasyfikowana jako zagadnienie z obszaru turystyki kulturowej. Fakt, iż posiada cechy wspólne z turystyką patologiczną jest oczywisty i bezdyskusyjny. Dyskusyjne natomiast jest samo zdefiniowanie tego zjawiska. Świadczy o tym niejednokrotnie odmienne zdanie prezentowane przez badaczy polskich i zagranicznych. Do realizacji postawionego celu posłużyły: analiza literatury przedmiotu, analiza materiałów internetowych, reportaży oraz filmów dokumentalnych, a także metoda sondażu diagnostycznego. Pierwsza, literaturowa część analizy nie pozwoliła na jednoznaczne przypisanie turystyki seksualnej ani do obszaru turystyki patologicznej, ani kulturowej. Respondenci także nie wykazali się taką znajomością zjawiska, która wskazałaby na ich szersze lub kulturowe spojrzenie. Zaowocowało to stworzeniem propozycji nowego podziału turystyki seksualnej oraz prezentacją odmiennego podejścia do definicji turystyki seksualnej.

The article contains the most important information about the population of Cambodia, its history from ancient times to the present day, the political situation including freedom of expression, the economic situation and the issue of violations of children’s rights. The main objective of this article is to provide the reader with basic information about Cambodia and to analyse the main problems of this Asian country in the second decade of the 21st century, with a special focus on the violation of children’s rights. The aim of the analysis is to answer the question: how does the political-economic situation and the history of the country affect the situation of children in Cambodia. The main part of the article deals with social problems such as poverty, lack of freedom of expression, persecution of political opponents by the authorities, prostitution and human trafficking, including violations of the rights of the youngest and the stigmatisation of orphanage residents.

Artykuł prezentuje najważniejsze informacje na temat ludności Kambodży, jej historii od czasów starożytnych do współczesności. Omówiona została obecna sytuacja ekonomiczna i polityczna kraju oraz poruszono kwestię nieprzestrzegania wolności słowa. W szczególności zwrócono uwagę na problematykę związaną z łamaniem praw dzieci. Poddano zatem analizie główne problemy tego azjatyckiego kraju w drugiej dekadzie XXI wieku. Jako cel główny przyjęto odpowiedź na pytanie: jak sytuacja polityczno-ekonomiczna i historia kraju wpływają na sytuację dzieci w Kambodży? Poszczególne rozdziały dotykają takich problemów społecznych, jak: bieda, brak wolności słowa, prześladowanie przeciwników politycznych przez władzę, prostytucja i handel ludźmi, wliczając w to łamanie praw najmłodszych i stygmatyzację mieszkańców sierocińców.

The aim of the article is to present the phenomenon of sex tourism as an international criminal law and social problem - in the aspect of social and forensic issues, in reference to current measures of criminal law protection. The authors analyzed the theoretical as-pects of sex tourism and described the phenomenon by detailing criminal and social prob-lems. The aim of the study was to analyze legal literature, social and forensic problems related to sex tourism and to analyze the directions of scientific research.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zjawiska turystyki seksualnej, jako międzynarodo-wego problemu prawnokarnego i społecznego - w aspekcie problematyki społecznej, kry-minalistycznej w odniesieniu do aktualnych środków ochrony prawnokarnej. Autorzy analizując aspekty teoretyczne seksturystyki opisali zjawisko poprzez wyszczegółowienie problemów prawnokarnych oraz społecznych Do realizacji postawionego celu posłużyła analiza przepisów prawokarnych, literatury przedmiotu, problemów społecznych i kryminalistycznych związanych z turystyką seksualną oraz analiza prowadzonych w tym kierunków badań naukowych.

Цель статьи - представить феномен секс-туризма в международном уголовном праве, а также как проблему в аспекте социальных и судебных вопросов применительно к текущим мерам защиты уголовного права. Авторы проанализировали теоретические аспекты секс-туризма и описали это явление, детализируя криминальные и социальные проблемы. Цель исследования состояла в том, чтобы рассмотреть правовую литературу, социальные и судебные проблемы, связанные с секс-туризмом и проанализировать направления научных исследований. Ключевые слова:
