This article is focused on the characteristic of wordbuilding patterns in the Polish dialect of people in the southern borderland. Wordbuilding tendencies of this Polish borderland dialect split into several directions. On the one hand there are many items marked as archaic in Słowniku języka polskiego (Dictionary of the Polish Language). On the other hand includes independent formants and different degrees of productivities of some other formants. Moreover, there are also Ukrainian loan structures and formants. The above mentioned combinations are significant for the dialect and determine its independent character.
