Nowsze „teksty dla teatru" Elfriede Jelinek cieszą się w Polsce coraz większym zaintereso-waniem, choć w latach dziewięćdziesiątych i na początku lat dwutysięcznych polski teatr nie był zainteresowany utworami niewpisującymi się w klasyczne pojęcie sceniczności. Wielu badaczy i badaczek podkreśla, że polska praktyka teatralna różniła się znacząco od niemiec-kiej, a jednocześnie wzorce niemieckojęzyczne stopniowo wpływały na polskie życie teatral-ne. Dopiero dzięki nowym przekładom autorstwa „ludzi teatru", wraz ze zmianą pokolenio-wą i dzięki wspierającej polityce dyrektorów teatru sztuki Jelinek zaistniały w polskim kra-jobrazie teatralnym. Chodzi tu o dwie inscenizacje z sezonu 2007/2008: O zwierzętach w reżyserii Łukasza Chotkowskiego w Teatrze Polskim w Bydgoszczy i Chór sportowy wyreżyserowany przez Krzysztofa Garbaczewskiego w Opolu (oba teksty w tłumaczeniu Karoliny Bikont). Niniejszy artykuł opowiada się za systemowym traktowaniem fenomenu transferu, z uwzględnieniem wielu czynników wpływających na ten proces.

Elfriede Jelinek's "texts for the theater" are enjoying more and more interest in Poland, even though in the 90s and in the early 2000s the Polish theater was not interested in plays which went outside the classical idea of stageability. Many researchers stress the fact that the Polish and German theatrical practices are very different, while at the same time they notice how the German-speaking standards have gradually influenced the stage life in Poland. It was not until new translations by people connected to the theater started to appear, backed up by generational change and favorable politics of theater directors, that Elfride Jelinek's plays started to become visible on the Polish theater landscape. Two stage productions from the 2007/2008 season illustrate this trend especially well: About Animals (Über Tiere), directed by Łukasz Chotkowski in Teatr Polski in Bydgoszcz, and A Sport Play (Ein Sportstück), directed by Krzysztof Garbaczewski in Opole (both texts translated by Karolina Bikont). This article calls for a systematic treatment of the theatrical transfer, which allows for the inclusion of many factors that influence the process.

Jelineks neuere und innovativere „Texte für das Theater" werden in Polen immer stärker rezipiert, nachdem das polnische Theater in den Neunzigern und auch noch nach dem Jahr 2000 an solchen (nicht „theatertauglichen") Texten nicht besonders interessiert war. Viele ForscherInnen betonen, dass sich das polnische Theaterleben früher markant von dem deutschen unterschied, das deutsche Vorbild allmählich aber an Bedeu-tung gewinnt und das polnische Theaterleben zunehmend beeinflusst. Erst mit neuen Übersetzungen, die von Theaterleuten vorgelegt wurden, mit dem Generationswechsel und einer unterstützenden Politik der Theaterleiter wurde der Durchbruch möglich, und zwar mit zwei parallelen Aufführungen aus der Spielzeit 2007/2008: Mit Über Tiere in der Regie von Łukasz Chotkowski in Bromberg und Sportchor von Krzysztof Garbaczewski in Oppeln (beide Texte wurden von Karolina Bikont übersetzt). Der Beitrag plädiert für eine systemorientierte Analyse, die mehrere Faktoren des Theatertransfers berücksichtigt.
