W artykule zaprezentowane zostały wybrane przykłady z literatury naukowej dotyczące sposobów podejmowania przez badaczy tematu uczenia się w okresie późnej dorosłości. Przedstawiono wybrane definicje uczenia się, które mogą znaleźć zastosowanie w badaniach empirycznych. Wymieniono też przykładowe konteksty, w jakich badane jest uczeniesię seniorów, a także scharakteryzowano wybrane sposoby rozumienia wyników (rezultatów) uczenia się osób starszych.

The article is concerned with some selected examples of scientific literature highlighting approaches employed by researchers to analyse learning in late old age. Both the exemplary contexts associated with consideration of learning undertaken by older people and selected ways of understanding and interpreting learning results of the elderly have been described. Furthermore, some selected definitions of learning, which may be applied in empirical research, have been also discussed.

This article deals with the issue of the use of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) in the care of seniors. Recent decades have been marked by the problem of an aging society, the consequence of which is an increase in the demand for care services. On the one hand, it is the family that is to provide care for its sick and disabled members. On the other hand, the situation on the labor market obliges them to work longer. This has very serious consequences for the system of both formal and informal care in Poland. One of the solutions supporting the informal care system in Poland is telecare.

Artykuł porusza problematykę wykorzystania nowoczesnych technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych (ICT) w opiece nad seniorami. Ostatnie dekady naznaczone są problemem starzejącego się społeczeństwa, którego konsekwencją jest wzrost zapotrzebowania na usługi opiekuńcze. Z jednej strony to rodzina ma zapewnić opiekę rodzicom chorym i niepełnosprawnym, z drugiej strony sytuacja na rynku pracy obliguje do dłuższej aktywności zawodowej. Ma to bardzo poważne konsekwencje dla systemu opieki zarówno formalnej, jak i nieformalnej w Polsce. Jednym z rozwiązań, które wspierają system opieki nieformalnej w Polsce, jest teleopieka, która ma coraz szersze zastosowanie.
