The gambling industry is highly profitable and generates numerous jobs, and therefore contributes to the state budget and state special funds. Following the introduction of the Gambling Act, the state’s income from gambling significantly decreased. The purpose of this article is to present the categories of state income related to the gambling industry, as well as the causes and size of the loss of these income. Nobody has undertaken a similar task so far, hence the article may contribute to filling the gap in this area of financial law.

Branża hazardowa odznacza się wysoką dochodowością i generuje liczne miejsca pracy, a w związku z tym zasila budżet państwa i państwowe fundusze celowe. Po wprowadzeniu ustawy o grach hazardowych dochody państwa z działalności hazardowej znacznie spadły. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie kategorii dochodów państwa związanych z branżą hazardową, a także przyczyn i rozmiaru ubytków tych dochodów. Podobnego zadania nikt dotąd się nie podjął, dlatego artykuł może się przyczynić do wypełnienia luki w tym obszarze prawa finansowego.
