Statystyki pozycyjne mogą być stosowane do konstrukcji kart kontrolnych, za pomocą których analizuje się przeciętny poziom wielkości produkowanego elementu, czy też poziom jej zróżnicowania lub maksymalnej lub minimalnej jej wartości. W pracy zaprezentowane zostały wybrane karty kontrolne, które zastosowane zostały do analizy jakości elementu urządzenia gospodarstwa domowego produkowanego przez pewną firmę.

Order statistics are applied in construction of control charts that are used in statistical process control. Control charts monitor the average process level, volatility or extreme values: maximum and minimum. In the paper selected control charts are presented. They were used to analyze the quality of component of a home appliance which are produced by a home appliance manufacturer.

Statystyki ekstremalne i ich funkcje stosowane są w kontroli jakości, w konstrukcji kart kontrolnych. Karty kontrolne monitorują średni poziom, zróżnicowanie lub wartości maksimum bądź minimum. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie wybranych kart kontrolnych wykorzystujących wartości statystyk ekstremalnych lub ich graniczne rozkłady m.in. rozkład Gumbela. Ponadto, w artykule zaprezentowane są wyniki analiz symulacyjnych dla kart kontrolnych tworzonych w oparciu o asymptotyczne własności statystyk ekstremalnych. Badania dotyczyły wpływu wielkości prób na wartości linii kontrolnych dla różnych rozkładów z grupy tych, dla których statystyki ekstremalne mają rozkład Gumbela.

Extreme statistics and their functions are used in quality control. They are applied in the construction of control charts. Control charts monitor the average process level, dispersion or extreme values: maximum and minimum. In the paper selected control charts are presented. These cards are constructed on the basis of extreme statistic values or their limit distributions, among others the Gumbel distribution. Additionally, in this article the results of simulation analyzes for control charts based on the asymptotic properties of extreme statistics are presented. The study was concerned with the effect of sample size on the control line values for different distributions from the group of those for which extreme statistics have the Gumbel distributions.

Wykrywanie obserwacji nietypowych w próbie losowej stanowi ważne zagadnienie w analizach statystycznych. Jednym ze sposobów badania próby od kątem istnienia wartości odstających jest stosowanie testów statystycznych opartych na statystykach ekstremalnych, do których należą: test Grubbsa i jego uogólnienie, test Dixona oraz testy oparte na asymptotycznych rozkładach minimum i maksimum z próby. Granicznymi rozkładami statystyk ekstremalnych są, w zależności od klasy rozkładu analizowanej zmiennej, rozkład Gumbela, Frecheta lub Weibulla. W artykule, oprócz rozważań teoretycznych, przedstawiono zastosowania wybranych testów do weryfikacji hipotez o wartościach nietypowych przy konstrukcji modeli ekonometrycznych.

The problem of the existence of outliers in the sample is an important issue in statistical surveys. One of the methods of outliers detection is the application of statistical tests based on extreme statistics. Grubbs test and its generalization, Dixon test and tests based on asymptotic distributions of minimum and maximum (Gumbel, Frechet, Weibull distributions) belong to group of these tests. In the paper, besides the theoretical considerations the application of selected tests, used to verify the hypothesis of outliers in the construction of econometric models, is presented.
