The article focuses on the prospects for the development of the relations between the European Union and Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the existing trends in the cooperation, the question of the EU in the declarations and programmes of key politicians, as well as system changes in Ukraine. In addition, an attempt is made to explain selected events and decisions affecting the EU-Ukraine relations, with special emphasis on the prospects for their development in the context of the provisions contained in the Association Agreement and in the light of the 2019 parliamentary and presidential elections in Ukraine.

Artykuł skupia się na analizie perspektyw rozwoju stosunków Ukrainy z Unią Europejską. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono omówieniu istniejących trendów współpracy, kwestii UE w deklaracjach i programach kluczowych aktorów politycznych na Ukrainie, jak również podsumowaniu zachodzących tam zmian systemowych. Podjęto również próbę wyjaśnienia wybranych wydarzeń i decyzji mających wpływ na kształt stosunków na linii UE-Ukraina ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem perspektyw ich rozwoju w kontekście ustaleń zawartych w umowie stowarzyszeniowej oraz w świetle wyborów parlamentarnych i prezydenckich z 2019 roku.

The European Green Deal (EGD) is the basis of a comprehensive strategic package (European Green Deal Strategic Framework, EGDSF), which aims to transform the EU into a climate-neutral and competitive economy by 2050. The main aim of the author’s research is to systematize knowledge about the European Green Deal. Therefore, the paper discusses the origins, assumptions and sources of funding for the EGDSF, as well as the possible consequences of the adopted solutions for Poland. In order to systematize information on EGD, the author used a literature review method, based on reliable databases found in international scientific publications. The paper stresses that the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s aggression against Ukraine have forced EU member states to intensify their efforts to achieve climate and resource neutrality in Europe. This can be done, for example, by adopting fast-track solutions within the “Fit for 55” package. These solutions should be seen as a unique opportunity for Poland to transform its economy into a green one.

Europejski Zielony Ład (EZŁ) jest podstawą kompleksowego pakietu strategicznego (European Green Deal Strategic Framework – EGDSF), który ma na celu przekształcenie UE w neutralną klimatycznie i konkurencyjną gospodarkę do 2050 roku. Głównym celem podjętych badań jest usystematyzowanie wiedzy na temat EZŁ. W artykule omówiono genezę, założenia i źródła finansowania. Ponadto scharakteryzowano możliwe konsekwencje wprowadzanych rozwiązań dla Polski. W celu uporządkowania informacji na temat EZŁ w badaniu zastosowano metodę przeglądu literatury, wykorzystując renomowane bazy publikacji naukowych o zasięgu międzynarodowym. W opracowaniu podkreślono, że pandemia COVID-19 oraz agresja Rosji na Ukrainę wymusiły na państwach członkowskich UE zdynamizowanie działań na rzecz osiągnięcia neutralności klimatycznej i surowcowej Europy. Służyć ma temu m.in. szybkie procedowanie rozwiązań w ramach pakietu „Gotowi na 55”. Rozwiązania w nim zawarte należy postrzegać jako wyjątkową szansę dla Polski w kierunku zielonej transformacji gospodarki.
