W wyniku uchwalonej w dniu 31 lipca 1981 r. ustawy o cenzurze zmieniły się warunki ogłaszania publikacji drukiem. Ze wstępnej kontroli zwolniono m.in. druki wewnętrzne organizacji, w związku z czym jak przysłowiowe grzyby po deszczu na Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim, głównie w niewielkim nakładzie jako druki do użytku wewnętrznego, zaczęły pojawiać się liczne czasopisma studenckie. Co najmniej jedenaście z nich ukazywało się za sprawą samorządu uczelnianego bądź jego sekcji. W grupie tej znalazły się zarówno pisma, których dzieje kończyły się na jednym bądź kilku numerach (np. „Spojrzenia”, „Brzytwa”), jak również takie, których zasięg nie ograniczał się do uniwersyteckiego środowiska (np. „BIS”).

As a result of the law about censorship of 31 July 1981, the conditions of publishing texts in print somewhat changed. Internal prints of an organization were among texts which no longer underwent the preliminary control. Owing to this, numerous student magazines, published as internal prints of the university, sprung us like mushrooms in the Catholic University of Lublin in a small circulation. At least eleven of them were published by the student government or its sub-departments. The group included both magazines which appeared only once or a few times ( e.g. “Spojrzenia”, “Brzytwa”) and the ones which went beyond the university entourage (e.g. “BIS”).

Infolge des am 31. Juli 1981 verabschiedeten Gesetzes über die Zensur haben sich die Druckvoraussetzungen für Veröffentlichungen verändert. Auf die Vorkontrolle hat man unter anderem im Falle von internen Veröffentlichungen von Organisationen verzichtet. Wie Pilze nach dem Regen erschienen an der Katholischen Lubliner Universität, - zumeist in geringer Auflage als interne Drucksorten - zahlreiche studentische Zeitschriften. Die Herausgabe von mindestens elf von denen wurde durch die studentische Selbstverwaltung bzw. deren Sektionen vorangetrieben. In dieser Gruppe befinden sich sowohl solche Zeitschriften, die es höchstens bis auf ein paar Nummern gebracht haben (wie z.B. „Spojrzenia” und „Brzytwa”) als auch solche, deren Wirkungskraft über das Universitätsmilieu hinausging (z.B. „BIS”).
