Artykuł zawiera wstępny raport z badań dotyczących problemu związanego z czynnikami mającymi między innymi wpływ na wybór studiów inżynierskich przez kobiety. Wzięło w nim 50 uczennic liceum oraz 50 studentek politechniki. Można zauważyć, że wśród najczęściej podawanych motywów wyboru studiów dominuje chęć uzyskania tytułu inżyniera oraz przypadek.

Article contains preliminary report which relates to problem with choosing engineering studies by women. Fifty female students of technical studies and next fifty high school students have taken part in this research. The result have shown that the main reason of choosing this kind of studies is a desire to became an engineer or just a random choice.

Wstępne badania objęły m.in. takie zagadnienia, jak: okoliczności związane z wyborem kierunku studiów, samoocena przygotowania do studiów oraz trudności, z jakimi spotkali się studenci I roku.

The results of the research on students’ opinions regarding their preparation for the requirements of higher technical studies were presented at this article. Preliminary research included, among others, such issues as: circumstances related to the choice of the field of study, self- -assessment of preparation for studies and difficulties encountered by first-year students.
