A connection between attachment styles and conflict resolution styles can be found in adult romantic relationships. The task of this study was to examine the relation between attachment styles and conflict resolution styles. A total of 226 adults (84 % woman, 18-33 year old childless and unmarried participants) completed Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised a Relationship Partner Conflict Scale online. It was found that the secure attachment style is related to compromise style of the conflict resolution, insecure attachment style is related to destructive styles of the conflict resolution (domination, reactivity, separation, submission), and finally avoidant conflict resolution style has no connection with any of attachment styles.

V partnerských vztazích dospělých styl citové vazby souvisí se stylem řešení vzájemných konfliktů. Cílem této studie bylo prozkoumat souvislosti mezi jednotlivými styly citové vazby a styly řešení konfliktů v rámci partnerských vztahů nesezdaných a bezdětných dospělých. Zkoumaný vzorek byl tvořen 226 bezdětnými a svobodnými respondenty ve věku 18-33 let (84 % žen), kterým byly administrovány dotazníkové metody prostřednictvím webového rozhraní (Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised a Relationship Partner Conflict Scale). Bylo zjištěno, že s jistým stylem citové vazby souvisí konstruktivní styl řešení konfliktů (kompromisní styl). Nejisté styly citové vazby souvisí s destruktivním řešením partnerských konfliktů (dominantní, reaktivní, separační a submisivní styl). Dále bylo zjištěno, že vyhýbavý styl řešení konfliktů nevykazuje souvislost s citovou vazbou bez ohledu na její styl.
