Sociocultural changes in our country have created new needs and challenges and, in consequence, they haveinitiated reforms of the caresystem. Reforms have so far focused on the development of family forms of foster care and the minimization of participation in children’s care education institutions. Analyses of the information contained in the latest regulations were enriched with the material obtained through Internet research such as thematic forums, chat rooms and social networking sites in the group of social workers. The questions concerned a number of solutions proposed in the Family Support and Foster Care System Act, i.e. the support family, the family support coordinator, including the coordinator and social worker cooperation.

Współczesna rodzina ulega licznym przemianom społecznym, obyczajowym, kulturowym, administracyjnym, cywilizacyjnym i in. Istotne wydaje się przeanalizowanie polityki społecznej z punktu widzenia efektów dla rodziny, szczególnie będącej w kryzysie. Koncentru­jąc się na rodzinach dysfunkcyjnych do celów polityki rodzinnej w Polsce należy zaliczyć przede wszystkim: rozwój pieczy zastępczej, wspieranie rodzin w realiza­cji ich funkcji społecznych (działania profilaktyczne w formie pracy z rodziną czy asysta rodzinna), wspieranie sytuacji materialnej rodzin z dziećmi (świadczenia wychowawcze na dziecko). Analizy informacji zawartych w regulacjach prawnych wzbogacono o materiał pozyskany dzięki badaniom internetowym za pośrednictwem forów tematycznych, czatów, portali społecznościowych w grupie pracowników pomocy społecznej. Pytania dotyczyły następujących obszarów tematycznych: realia, możliwości a oczekiwania klientów pomocy społecznej, wsparcie rodziny w sytuacjach problemowych.
