This article is intended to provide an overview of the role of the professional counselor and its tasks. Theoretical part presents the activities of the District Labor Office in Rybnik and discusses the specifics of the work of the vocational counselors. The practical part contains the analysis of the results of the survey based on a survey technique and carried out among the clients of the PUP in Rybnik.

Celem artykułu jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie: jakie miejsce w życiu uczniów klas I–III szkoły podstawowej zajmuje książka? Część teoretyczna zawiera ogólne uwagi dotyczące etapów edukacji czytelniczej dzieci. W części praktycznej zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego, opartą na technice ankiety, i kwestionariusz ankiety jako narzędzie badawcze. Metoda ta pozwoliła na uzyskanie informacji na temat stosunku młodych respondentów do książ- ki. Badania przeprowadzono wśród uczniów szkół podstawowych, usytuowanych na terenie miasta i gminy Czerwionka-Leszczyny. Uzyskane wyniki, które zaprezentowano w postaci tabel i opatrzono komentarzem słownym, przekonują, że wbrew powszechnej opinii dzieci lubią czytać, sięgając po książkę nie tylko z motywów instrumentalnych, ale przede wszystkim autotelicznych. Artykuł może okazać się przydatny dla nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej, bibliotekarzy pracujących w szkole, aby wiedzieli, jakie książki znajdują się w centrum zainteresowania młodych czytelników, a także wszystkich osób interesujących się zagadnieniem czytelnictwa.

New spatial data collection methods such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Kite Aerial Photography (KAP), close range photogrammetry and laser scanning provide numer - ous opportunities for archaeological research documentation. Since the year 2009, the archaeological research cov - ered by the Czech Institute of Egyptology has been situated in the area of the 6th Nile cataract – near the Sabaloka game reserve (the Republic of the North Sudan). The past expedi - tions employed traditional ways of surveying the archae - ological sites in creating archaeological maps and in other types of research. In the 2014 season, the KAP and close range photogrammetry methods were applied at several archaeological sites in order to make a comprehensive database enabling the study of the sites in the virtual environment. The Sphinx locality (SBK.W-60) presented in this paper is completely covered with spatial data of different scales (the whole locality, occupation terrace, sound ings and details of discovered features) – surveyed points, orthophotos and digital terrain models derived from KAP and close range photogrammetry. All of the created 3D models are accessible online at https://sketchfab.com/jan.pacina/folders.
