Very often in coats of arms, especially those of African and Asian countries, the plants that play a major role in the population’s diet or are an important export are represented. The image of livestock also frequently appears. The labour of farmers, foresters and miners is often symbolised by simple tools. The coats of arms of other countries contain images that represent their mineral wealth. A cogwheel symbolises developing industry. Images from transport, tourism and marine economy are less frequently included in coats of arms.
